Neither game is realistic but they are fun
Yes they are both games but to actually answer your question Way of the Hunter is a lot more realistic.
Neither. One does certain things better or more realistically than the other.

So realistic that it hurts my eyes to look for blood on the ground. IRL I don't have to take advil after looking for blood.

No not really. You call animals and they walk straight towards you then you stop calling wait until they turn and just shoot. Absolutely nothing realistic about that. Both games have good points and bad points, either pick the one that interests you most or try both.
Choose the way of the hunter, bro. Trust me—you’ll enjoy its realistic art style and the friendly newcomer guidance
The Way of the Hunter is more realistic. And you'll pay in patience and frustration. But there you are.

Of course, one could always play both.

Sir, I’m not speaking without basis here—I’ve already played Call of the Wild for over 100 hours, and I spent my beginner days in Hirschfelden, which I still consider the most beautiful map. So I’m very familiar with its art style. After spending 6 hours in Way of the Hunter, I could clearly feel the difference between the two. Way of the Hunter’s visuals and art style are without a doubt more realistic. Since that’s what the original poster wanted to know, I’m just sharing my perspective.
Get both games and compare them :steamhappy:

It depends on what aspects you are comparing.

These games are more than just graphics.
For me it's like this

Call of the Wild is the better hunting game

Way of the Hunter is the better hunting experience

I prefer the game loops in COTW. It has far more content (reserves, weapons, gear)

But WOTH feels better with boots on the ground. When its just me, my rifle and a whitetail, I like how WOTH feels best. I prefer the rifles, scopes, ballistics/penetration models, animal animations and behavior

I like both, play both and glad I do

So u like the graphics in WOTH.
Both are good hunting games, im supporting both titles.
Still wishing good for the Avalanche and i wish them enough force and strentght to pull a Hunter 2 in near future with better engine even and some new mechanics etc.
Biggest downside is the range you can see animals in thehunter compared to woth. While I understand the ethical hunting aspect there are people who hunt on 600-800 meter range sometimes. also it's a game only focused on hunting so I would prefer it of the animals would behave on the full range they usually do, like mating, eating, all the calls you can do but the animals won't interrupts the experience somewhat. no deer fighting, no bears hunting animals. that would enrich the overall experience immensly. even in games like dayz wolf hunt regular animals. also why no farm animals in hirschfelden e.x? Why can't I make campfires or something to sit with me mates? just some overall love for immersion would be nice. still stellar games though, both. not a fan of the cringe story in way of the hunter though. Oh and last but certainly not least having a hunting companion in thehunter made this game much more enjoable. dogs are humans best friends for sure.
