Report a translation problem
Mine does the same if it's tracking an animal that can pose a threat it will stand there barking at the thing until you shoot it but I do understand that it totally defeats the purpose of stalking a herd of animals using the dog since it spooks the entire herd again they made a dlc to milk the players and they didn't care if it even works
My retriever happily runs through herds of deer, fetching ducks, without them being bothered by him whatsoever.
When I'm out bow hunting and have to sneak up real close, I make him lay down a couple meters behind me before I get close to like 40-30 meters though I don't think that's even necessary to avoid him spook something but rather to avoid him getting in front of me and somewhat in the way.
