When are you going to fix the bugs instead of focusing on DLC after DLC?

Honestly, this game is so stupid, first time played in weeks (or should I say months really) due to the bugs, I played today for 10 minutes, the first animal I saw, I couldn't spot it, no bush in the way or anything. I then shot it, I shot it 20 times and it's still running on the spot - yet again. I go up to it and it says "harvest", despite it still running. I harvest it, then my game crashes.

I submit a bug report, and guess what, that fails too due to an "error uploading".

Amazing game. Please just give it to me how it was a few years ago back when it worked.

Nah, single player. I've had this happen to me lots in multiplayer, but it's happening single player these days too.

I cannot believe it, well I can.. First time playing for like a month and this happens on the first animal I've seen. What a joke. I'm looking at way of the hunter now, just such a shame to have to pay more money again to get a working hunting game.

Words cannot express how pissed off I am at this game's devs.

Off to see if I can revert to an update from a few years ago where at least it worked.

What are your system specs?
Are your drivers updated? This is usually the only time I have issues.
Try running the game as administrator.

I have found this game no more buggy than many games. It needs some work, I will give you that. Most bugs that I have run into are more comical, and honestly common in many games, and in no way break the game.

Try disabling the dog DLC, some have voiced issues with it. Others it seems to run fine. It's actually sort of weird.

Ryzen 5800X3D
32GB 3600mhz RAM
Nvidia 3060 Ti
1440p ultra wide but it did it with standard ratio 1440p too.
All drivers up-to-date, chipset and graphics, everything.
All brand new equipment, all works fine in every other game.

The only other game I have that crashes is Gen Z online, guess what... same devs. Enough said I think.

Thanks, the dog dlc is currently broken for over half a year anyway with too much noise since they broke it in an update and have never fixed it since. I'll try that later cheers.

I just thought it'd be nice to use something I paid for, a bit like the base game

Oh, I get you. This game is definitely a pain at times. I find it is super finicky with adjusting video settings. Most games I don't use Vsync, for example, but I don't trust the game so I run everything max, except shadows are lowered. Wish I could turn of FAA or whatever it is, but I haven't been getting the ghosting artifacts anyway, so that's good.

it could also be a software/hardware problem, I know of several people who have experienced game breaking glitches or recurring crashes not only with this game but dozens of others due to strange conflicts between applications and 3000 or 4000 series NVIDIA cards.

In your case this is most likely not the source of your problems, but keep it in mind.

No mods on this game. And no not really, I am not a big mod fan. A few on Skyrim back in the day, but I don't see how other games would impact this one unless something was running all of the time.

I honestly don't have an issue on any other game. The only other crashing I've had has been on gen z online play, and it's the same engine / Devs so that explains it I guess.

Microsoft flight simulator has been a pain after updates to get working but it never crashes. Looks like I'm not alone with this issue either.

In WOTH I think you will really enjoy shooting the zombie animals as they walk straight toward you as though in a trance, completely void of senses or awareness. Sarcasm intended!

Dude, what are you talking about? They want to play COTW, and it isn't working. Everyone knows this game can be a PITA.

Why not try to help, instead of assuming they are on some kind of mission destroy COTW. COTW has it's issues, and it's okay. It's not okay to accuse someone of something, when they are clearly looking for help in order to just get the game running.

I'm getting really good at discerning the trolls. They have key characteristics that give them away and I'm just really tired of the never-ending attempts to discredit our game.

Maybe you haven't yet been similarly repulsed yet Alf, but I assure you at some point you will also reach a breaking point.
