For the best result, It is important to remember that the body of the bear should fill at least 50% of one of the square frames you see when looking through the camera. Not 15% in one square and 35% in another. Obstructions (tees, tree limbs, fallen logs, tall grass, leaves etc..) between you and the bear in the photo may cause the photo be be rejected. You want the bear to be as exposed as possible in your photo. Photos of animals standing broadside stand a better chance of being accepted than those with the animal standing upright on it's back legs or running away from you.
Hope this helps.
When sneaking up on a bear sitting on it's butt resting I'll drop the map marker on it before I start the sneak. This gives me a point of reference to use for distance without exposing myself to the animal while I'm low crawling towards it.
Side note: Just to be on the safe side 😁

Hirschfelden also has early photo missions that su*k. Even tho i git lucky with the Lake Photo mission finding a neat spot and got that quite fast. Some post on reddit or steam say they needed days for that XD.
I had my share of trouble with the "hunt a fox with a bow" mission that is even harder than the photo missions.
If you spook an animal somtimes its worth just running for it with camera in hand to get a pic.
