Leaving your kill to harvest later?

Came across a herd of Moose and Whitetails. Shot what I can with bow then tracked them 1 by 1 after. Not finished tracking all my kills, another smaller herd of Moose came again then ignored what I'm tracking for kills.

I noticed with my old kills, collecting them the notification only shows the cash I got but never the XP and the weapon XP. When I stumbled to another old kill I forgot about, I got cash & level up but the XP and the weapon XP never showed up.

Do I lose XP gains if I dont track & pick-up my kills right-away?

1) If you harvest animals within close periods, the game doesn´t show every gain, but that doesn´t mean, that you don´t get money/level/XP.
2) There is a XP and level cap at level 60.

Just make sure you claim your kills before ending the session, or they will be gone when you come back to the reserve. I think this is also the case if you switch to another reserve in the current game session.

For a while there was a bug that would caused a downed animal to disappear if you moved far enough away for it to be out of render distance ( around 450m). Not sure if that's still a thing.

Harvest order does not affect the XP, unless there's a bug.
