Grizzly bear hunting
Which weapon do you all recommend for grizzly bear hunting? I currently have a 7mm and I love it. Would a 7mm be big enough against a grizzly? So far I have only found tracks of grizzlies but am a little timid about tracking them with a 7mm rifle.

The 7mm is perfectly fine for grizzly hunting. Personally, I prefer the Hawk Edge and the .454 because I mostly hunt with bows and handguns, but I've hunted grizzly bears with the M1, the F.L. Sporter, the 7mm, the Coachmate, the .300 and the Hudzik (and possibly some others I forgot about) and haven't run into issues with any of those.
A bazooka would work wonders.
Go ahead and use the 7mm. I prefer to use the .300 on Class 7-9 animals because I don't like to spend a lot of time following blood trails. Griz in this game are fraidy cats so no worries.

Depends on ranges involved too.
7mm will do just fine against any type of bear. Fire away b/c they're Class 7, and your gun works for Classes 4-9.
It would be a miracle if you could get closer than 200 yards to one of them. So you have no too many choices.
The 7.62x54mm Mosin Nagant is perfect for hunting brown bears.
The 7.62x54 is legal for classes 3 to 7. But it struggles for anything 5 and above, because it has no penetrating ammo at this time. Bears are class 7. So ignore this previous comment, it will often make you chase even farther for your harvest.
Also, the various legal pistols are surprisingly effective if you get close enough. When you unlock the Rhino/Sundberg .454 with penetrating ammo and the pistol scope, it rips through almost everything up to 100m.

This is one of the worst choices for hunting bear due to the lack of high penetration poly ammo.
Penetration through all that fat and thick fur is critical.

And the further the distance, the less the penetration.

The lesser calibers might be okay within 100 yards, but if you find you're doing alot of shooting beyond that you'll be wanting a higher caliber.

It's as simple as that!

Unless of course you enjoy tracking as much as I do.

Thanks so much guys. You guys are the best. This game is the best...well...except for the bloodhound which still needs work. LOL. Anyway, I am off to LL to hunt me some grizzlies with my 7mm. I hope you dont read about me in the obituary column in the virtual newspapers LOL ;P
