Bison ID
How do you tell if a bison is male/female? I don't see any ID when spotting them

if they did the horns proper in game, that and the head size is the only way to tell. IRL bison bulls have a larger blocky head than cows, and the horns are bigger at the base and longer because of this. And they have nuts, but the game didn't include those that i've noticed. Cows have a smaller head, and there's more curve to their smaller horns.

There's no color difference or any other indicator to tell with.

Bison gender shows up when I use the spot in SRP. One clue though is weight. I've never seen a female bison whose weight range topped out over 800 kg which is why probably why I've never seen a level 4 female.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a Level 3 or higher female bison. Not in the Yukon, Hisch or SRP. You cannot tell visually by the size. It's nice they've incorporated some size difference in the models but frankly...a level 2 bison female can often appear larger than a level 3 male despite weighing a couple hundred pounds less so size variation for bison is mostly eye-candy. Like Nightwalker, the gender pops up when I use the spot on them but even on males I check out the max weight and TR shown on spot.
