Finding DLCs at a good price might be easier for the Steam version since more third-party stores sell Steam keys, but I haven't really tracked that. At least right now, Epic has pretty good prices on many of the DLCs.
If you're interested in multiplayer, then getting the Steam version might be safer. The game does offer crossplay between both platforms, but apparently only between players who use Apex Connect, which may limit sessions available to you. I'm not sure if this correct though, the information that I found about crossplay has been unclear and I'm not using multiplayer features myself.
Personally, I'd say that Steam's platform functions are worth the 4€ that the game currently costs on that platform. But if you don't care about these, then you should be fine with the Epic version as well. It would also work as a "demo" before deciding whether you keep playing there, or buy the Steam version instead.
So there is that advantage for steam version. You can play offline and if the connection goes out during gameplay it still plays normally.
