I did that mission getting one with a pistol and it is definitely not like stalking other animals.
These Roos might appear to be very casual as they lay around in their wallows, but don't let that casual appearance fool you.
They're always ready to launch on those powerful limbs and will flee a long way before settling down again.
I've seen a few level 7's (which I could take) and one level 8 so far (too far and travelling fast to shoot).
Oh, the Banteng are not docile. They will go aggressive, but don't seem to be able to run very fast - I think the bison and buffalo are faster. Great fun!
The travel areas for roos are huge several miles In fact EW did a good job It feels like they really are wild and free In game and on the move a lot. Best way to kill them Is to crawl to them while they are resting and shoot 60 or 70 yards laying down with a bow and hope you can see thru the grass for a shot and hit a vital area you get any closer you will get busted the thing I hate most Is the Roos won't give me a shot besides moving at closer than 80 yards If they are moving thru. Thats why I have wounded two Mythicals makes me mad really failed so many times .. took a long time to learn the travel areas for these Roos. I found three rest areas within 250 yards. I have snuck up on them so many times with wind In my favor and they bust me from 65 yards to 85 yards .
