The new scope DLC is the laziest release I've seen
Out of all the possibilities, you guys just copy/paste all the current reticiles in game and make them compatible with the rifle scope? Even the bow scopes lol, wtf. Not even a reticle that has ranges? I basically purchased what I already own, I just get to put them on a rifle scope lol. The potential that was missed is WILD and could have been added easily. It's just a graphic.

Not any one of these?

And even fun ones who want the challenge..

How do you miss this? We have reticles that are already in the game, just now compatible with rifle scopes.

This could have had A LOT of potential, but I just paid for stuff I already paid for.:steamsad:

You miss that the recticle configuration has been added to the base game for free. Only the new scopes are part of the DLC. I really appreciate that the developers are still fixing bugs and adding content.

I realized that I was
After learning that I would be forced to use night vision binoculars with green vision and the new night vision scope with blue vision at the same time, I foolishly did not buy the DLC.

It would be very eye tiring to alternate between green and blue light.
But it's a business opportunity for EW, because they still have a chance to sell the new night vision binoculars, and players who don't realize how this works will be exploited forever.

i don't see the point in this dlc
So they did not change the color of the old binocular dlc pack? People back then where complaining how bad the lighting was and they adjust and resell?

Please see “The New 4x8x100 NIGHT VISION Scope Is UNBELIEVABLE! Call Of The Wild” uploaded by THE HUNTER DD33 on YouTube, you can find out in that video.

You obviously haven't been playing long. There are numerous bugs that have been completely ignored for years. Pay attention and you'll notice that they NEVER release a bug fix unless they also have something new to sell. I think the publishers are trying to milk a little more money out of it before abandoning it. Just my opinion.

@ yuccasu

Look no further than the first thread under the "technical issues" tab.

you must be new here but the way they do things is they only fix stuff with paid dlc updates they never actually just fix something thats why i stopped supporting them

It's worthless. Night scopes are supposed to separate heat, the previous night scope was all green, the new night scope is all white. It's literally pointless as you can see more using the moon light. Notice in the video below, the animals show heat... But in this game the entire scope is white. The new night vision scope is not "unbelievable", it's horrible.

Having to manually enable and disable Zeroing Perk and the Wind Gauging one makes it worse-- I enjoy the challenge of high winds and holding off for them using the MilDots, but choosing between the two, the Zeroing can't be dropped. If it's rebindable, it was lost in the UI clutter and may as well not be an option. These should be separate and not occupy the bottom right UI indicator regardless.

That totally depends on the kind of night vision. This game is partly a simulation, but also an arcade. While I was disappointed, too, at first, it's also pretty clear that image intensifiers are the better option in that regard. Having infrared vision that "highlights" all the animals all the time would be pretty OP.

Yeah but this is the new night vision. This is my screenshot. In this screenshot, I am aiming at an animal. You have to agree this is ridiculous right?

Not really, the reticle customization was added for free with the ability to switch between existing reticles.

Also, in defense of the new night vision scope, I was one of the first people who asked for a white NV scope a long time ago because the green light is really jarring and over-saturated for my eyes. I do agree they could have added a white NV binocular considering the otherwise anemic content of this pack.

I think adding thermal optics would be a bit too "OP", but more importantly you'd have to make some drastic changes to the way the game renders the image. Thus the inclusion of thermal becomes expensive, time consuming and potentially game breaking (considering how easily it breaks with simpler updates).

I also agree that the reticles included in the pack are very limited and do not provide much difference from the existing ones. Hopefully additional reticles may be added in a similarly to weapon skins.

I'm still on the fence in regards to buying this pack. I think people shouldn't complain about the content of a pack and still buy it. If you pay for a bad product, you will inevitably get more bad products.

Are you seriously defending this?

It's a bengal tiger directly under my tree stand.

Thermal Optics would not be OP. I paid for this stupid stuff, even Vietnam War era night vision was better than this, can you at least agree on that?

coyotes

Don't buy it, but at the same time they won't fix it. They never fix anything, even easy fixes like this stuff that would make the presentation exciting. Like come on. The devs know they're a monopoly.
