New England Mountains: Achievements and Side Missions this time?

As stated above, will this be the DLC where the devs break their streak of NOT adding Achievements and Side Missions? Both of these features add to the experience and are sorely lacking on the maps since SRP (which itself had no Side Missions but at least had Achievements).

The limit on Xbox is not the number of achievements but the value. The value limit is 6000G score, the game is curently at 3730...

So either it's a Playstation issue or its (yep) LAZINESS.

And they actually involve hunting (as opposed to collecting water samples and taking them somewhere). Happy days.

Almost certainly not. With achievements I believe they are at the max allowed for one of the consoles. As for side missions, it’s just a matter of resources being devoted to something most players don’t engage with. With this map especially it seems like they’ve chosen to focus on quality of life and features vs new content.

Me and the Boys so far I have liked playing this map I have seen a few things and heard new things on this map. So far Its a good map no complaints. Carry a bow and a shot gun love the bird hunting In this game.

Survey was done at a time where the bulk of the side quests were of the go fetch type on the newer maps. I took the survey & told 'em I bought a game so I could hunt, not be a go fetch lackey.

I like the challenge of the side missions from the older maps. As agonizing as some of Herr Sommer's missions on Hirschfelden were, I look at that Achievement with pride. And if I see that someone else has it, I know they too had the same lonely nights of loneliness sitting in a deer blind at night in the cornfield, waiting on a roe deer that just never came...

I don't get that feeling on the new maps, sadly.

The older maps had missions where you had to hunt (and yeah some of Sommer's missions were a beast to do). A lot of the newer missions were go here, get this or check this type missions & boring as heck. Only thing they're good for is leveling up.

Unfortunately, a lot of players told the devs they aren't interested in side missions and achievements, so the devs stopped adding them.

It certainly makes the game less interesting for me, and my playtime has dropped considerably since getting into SRP. Although many of the missions and cheevos for the first few reserves were ones I'd rather had gotten rid of. I really enjoyed the ones they had for the few reserves right before SRP, and think they found the sweet spot with those.

I reluctantly got Mississippi and haven't picked up Revontuli because of this. I really don't see me getting any more maps unless they add side missions and cheevos back into the game.

The survey had questions concerning maps, missions along with what players thought of the game heading in the direction it is now, it wasn't heading that way at the time of the survey.
