Diamond Elk - Not
just got a Rocky Mountain Elk which scored 506.30, but gold only. This game is not fair, yes I hit him in the spine, he never ran more than 300 yds and then dropped. The scoring in this game sucks! If a person finds the harvest instead of just leaving it and looking for more they should get the ranking that the score says.

Lol angry boi, you gotta hit a vital that's just how it is and we all mess up diamonds I've messed up like 3, another will come try not to repeat the same mistakes then

The spine is no longer considered vital and it has been changed to the spinal cord (considered vital) which is even harder to hit. The change was done due to players going only for spine shots because lung shots weren't dropping the animal fast enough to get the quick kill. If you missed getting the quick kill, you lost getting a diamond so people complained.

He was laying down partly behind a hill, all i could see was about 1/4 of him plus the rack. In real life when they measure for the trophy they do not care where you shot it or how many times as long as the head is not shot up. I was told that this game was to simulate the real life hunt but i guess not!

Yeah, can't do that in game if you want the full score on an animal.

At best the game is a sim-cade. There is a lot of arcade-ish features that got stuck in it so the game appeals to a wider audience. One of the bigger problems the devs have is balancing real sim versus arcade shooter. It's a shame there wasn't some sort of toggle or sliders to custom setup the game for simulator versus arcade.

The dropped the head and spinal shots partly because it was a much faster way to put an animal down than a hit to a vital organ AND partly because both shots are considered to be unethical by the vast majority of players.

Spine shots were the go to and it was stupid easy to hit. Im glad they changed it.

This doesn't sound like a shot most hunters would take in real life.

Like I said I could see about a 1/4 of his back and some below, I must have shot high, but still I have shot an animal in real life in the spine.and it counted. Also he was approx 300 yds away, and yes I have taken those shots in real life PicSoul. That is all I will say about this hunt!
