Player Kicking Trend?
Has anyone else noticed lately that in multiplayer, a map owner will wait until someone else kills something, and then immediately kick that person and then go loot the kill themselves? I watched it happen a couple times, the kicked person will try to rejoin to harvest their kill and instead, the owner will keep kicking them as they go toward the new pressure zone and harvest that person's kill. I joined a public game with two real life friends so I know this was what happened when one was chain kicked so the owner could grab one mediocre elk.

How is this even worth the trouble? I mean, the whole point of this is to get the trophies yourself isn't it? Are these people just watching the pressure zones and rubbing their hands like some kinda lunatic? :steamfacepalm:

Not sure what the point of it is, I don't think you get any cash/xp for it. I don't play multiplayer with anyone except my brother so I haven't experienced this, but I have picked up animal that he had killed after he left the session and I didn't get anything for them.

Perhaps the person was kicked because of unpolite behaviour, e.g. generating to much hunting pressure so that need zones got deleted?

i kick often people because i hunt with a bow and when tellig them to hunt elsewhere with rifles they still shoot at my area.....so get kicked. Problem is that game could be SO much more Online fun and a huge increase of people when there would be more settings to make a online game more interesting !! f.e. areas for bow hunting; different time settings in different areas, different weapons or ammo in different areas. setting of animals like species and density of them. Hunting together with dogs would be nice ! As well as a after hunting celebration. and many more !!
Devs are lame, they only bring out new DLC but without improving Online gaming this will be dead some day.

Not at all. I was watching them play. We all set up our computers in the same room. The host never said a word, and no need zones were deleted.

At least you said something about that so they knew. The map I saw had the person that got kicked in the upper left corner of the map and everyone else was in the other corners, well away from each other so there was no overlap.

I guess they were just hoping it was a diamond for their trophy room? It's really weird to me.

I kick frequently for one of 3 reasons:

1- They are hacking. This is pretty obvious when they freeze animals, near instant full hunting pressure and the most obvious, zooming around the map faster than an atv. These no skill kiddos need to keep their hacking to their single player games if they are just so bad at this easy game that they feel the need to hack.

2- Rude ATV use. (I always turn ATV's off when i host but occasionally will get chosen as host when someone leaves) In my opinion the ATV should be only used on your single player map to go around unlocking outposts. Being that they scare everything within approx. 2000m it is INCREDIBLY rude to be bombing around the map near other players. (if the player is low level I will explain this concept as they may not be aware, but if they are say 30+ then they have enough playtime they should be aware)

3- Unwanted Hunting Buddies. People should be asking before they travel to you and starting literally running around trying to hunt right next to you. This isn't COD and being close by rarely is a benefit to anyone. (unless you are in voice chat with a friend or 2 and are 200+m apart spotting for each other) Typically I warn people about this too. It can be incredibly frustrating when seeing a nice target and then suddenly someone travels to you and shoots something else and your target goes running. A simple question in chat regarding if the person minds hunting together solves these problems.

Ive spent at least 1/3 of my 700 hours in multiplayer matches over the last 4+ years playing this game and have restarted and leveled to 60 3-4 times now. And I can say that i tend to kick for the hacking WAY more frequently than the other 2 issues.

I've given up hope years ago that they will implement any decent Anti-Cheat into this game or fix the multiplayer bugs. And that is why I believe most people stick to single player.

I specifically asked two people to NOT delete my zones and turn my map hot pink.
5 times.

They 3 times deleted my zones on my map.

No thanks.

Ah, gotcha. So basically from what everyone typically kicks for, the host of this particular game was just being an (insert expletive here.)

When Yukon valley came out, I went to multiplayer to test the map but I got kicked because I got diamonds. (that was the time when level 4 kudu gives diamond). Since then, I stick to single player.

I just encountered my first kick, or what I assume was going to be my first kick? Got into a Medved multiplayer lobby and was met with the host typing "Alright you lousy freeloaders, text in chat if you do not want to perish", or something along those lines the second I was loaded into the game. At first I thought it was a joke with friends on the lobby itself, but when the host started counting down I just left. I barely do multiplayer, so I wasn't aware of the trend, but if this is the case I guess I'll just stick to my own Medved from now on.

I wish we had more resources in multiplayer. I can't tell you how many public servers I have been kicked from for no reason. I have put a lot of effort into my maps, so I would love to ban these people in return. I would also love to ban cheaters. Ultimately, I dislike the controls/options available to us in multiplayer.
