Really? scopes that should be in base game are dlc?!?! thats just too much... I understand new reserves or even weapons but thats just whole new level of greed.

You can't fast travel unless you walked to the location first... How many maps have you played on? If you uncovered most of them by walking, you are very patient.

Since I picked the game up again recently.. just 1.. Revontuli coast.. before that i dont remember.
Yeah the maps are big, but i enjoy trecking and exploring.. and hunting on the way.

I assume taking the atv to unlock the whole map, pitching tents all over it and jumping around all the time is the best powerplay, but i wouldnt enjoy that as much.

The (main) missions used to introduce you to the reserve bit by bit, so you could explore the map that way. At least that's how I recall it. Not sure about the latest maps, but I hear missions have been cut back drastically. And I used the ATV to unlock outposts as soon as I had it anyway and then did the missions more quickly.
You probably get to know the reserve better the other way and can also hunt underway, but in this case, I'm just too impatient.

As for the scopes: I don't really see the problem, to be honest. Like others have said, it's not like there aren't several scopes already in the game. The one exception perhaps being the night vision scopes as both are DLCs at the moment if I'm not mistaken.

I dont have the scopes DLC or night scopes (yet).
The scopes I have tho seems fine. Maybe the DLCs are a game changer.. but it seems totally okay without them..
