Stuck with missions on Hirsch

Flericher #3 and Tressler #3. Both are up by the north/west corner of the reserve but there are no boars or red deer. I've been at it on and off over a very long period.

Any tips?

hunt at night. Reds and boar can be found around there at night, but they rest during the day and they mostly travel outside of those mission areas to do so

I've been stuck on Tressler #3 for weeks.

He says he once saw a whole family of boar there, i say things you see while taking drugs doesn't count. There are no boar there.

I've tried that and one of the missions specifically asks for night hunting.

I'll try something now: I'll just camp in the area and let the game run by itself. I don't really think it will help, but doesn't hurt to try.

LOL. For me it's like that too. I've just begun doing this mission this night and I haven't found a single clue of boars there. I didn't know they were so tidy.

About the red deers in bohndorf hills: I've just finished all the missions there. Finding red deers there can be difficult because most of the highlighted area seems barren. I'll edit this post when I draw you on the map where I found them more or less.

The last fleischer mission also takes place in Bohndorf Hills. The deer I killed was one of the pink spots that is at the eastern part of the map. It was feeding there. I also killed a pair of males there more or less for the Fleischer #3 mission, but they were sleeping closer to the path that goes NW.

Other approach that maybe you can use is trying to lure them from outside the area near the SW part of the highlighted mission area. I've seen them drinking and sleeping near it.

I tried leaving the computer running for 4-5 hours in that area a couple times, once during the day, and once during the night, and looked for tracks afterwards. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Edit: Well, almost nothing. There's a couple roe deer and a fox that show up there most of the time.

I recently completed all the missions and side missions in Hirsch for a second time. I have always been able to find every animal needed, in every zone assigned in each mission/side-mission. I never even have had to call in animals from one zone into the required mission area. Some missions may take up to 2-3 hours real time. Red deer and boar are mostly active at night. The high-tech dlc pays off there. The night vis binocs are amazing.

Good luck and keep trying! I am going to look at my map now to see if I have any need zones in the areas, for animals you are looking for.

I saw this tip before reaching the mission. Back then, it was just as described. Lots and lots of boar and across the entire area and more. But ever since I got the mission, I've had no luck and that N/W corner of the map seems to be very empty now, with an occasional roe.

I let the game run while I watched Mandalorian and several hours had passed in-game. Now, I'm seeing many tracks of red deer, fox and boar :o

The boar were just outside the mission zone - having a go again now. Hopefully they are in the zone now. I'll post again with updates.

hirsch in particular has some extremely frustrating missions because you have to get certain animals in certain spots, and though animals *CAN* sometimes be found there, they are certainly not common. The mission where you had to find red deer up in that valley in the NW corner of the map took me almost 20 in-game days because the red deer just werent visiting. Eventually they showed up, but yeah, dont expect them to always be there, or even be there with any reasonable frequency. Just keep checking the area every few hours (real time) or so until you find what you need, it'll happen eventually

The red deer Bohndorf lake missions I went all the way south in the allowed area. South of Bohndorf lake where it meets the large river. I found a red deer need zone there. Bohndorf lake itself has a roe deer need zone and a large wild boar route is directly west of it where the boar travel down south to the river. Jonsdorf itself has tons of red deer.

I already had tents close to each end of that area - just checked out and nothing there. I'll camp under a tree and see what will happen. The reason I have tents there to begin with was because I've previously seen plenty of red deer.

Whatever animal you need to hunt, tends to, IMO, become very difficult to find. I have for a long time had this impression about especially Hirsch.

Yey, boar mission finally completed! I can't say with certainty what I did to improve my chances. The last thing I did, was to jump to a tent, which I had 1,5km in the opposite end, and drive back with the ATV, hoping the noise would make any boar run into the zone were I needed them - and it worked.

Next mission? Harvest a boar during night... FFFFUUUUUU xD

Edit: not a sigle boar camping in the place the guide said... I'm thinking that I am going to do your strategy r4ptor.
It's really sad that we have to do those kind of things to complete a mission... I love the game but that is bad design

I'm trying to complete the other mission now: Harvest red deer during night, but they are nowhere inside the zone. I've tried 5 times/different approaches since I last wrote here. Right now, I'm at a need zone track 9 meters inside the zone, but the tracks don't go further in. After a while, I heard a red deer from outside the zone. I tried and tried and it responded, but couldn't lure it in. The wind was not problematic.

I feel like bitchslapping the devs :/

I just completed these missions in the past 2 weeks. Tressler #3: I could not find any boar in the mission zone so, I chased boar from the lake south west outside of the mission zone. The zone was a feeding zone near the lake.

The Fleischer #3: I killed the deer just after dark along the eastern edge of the mission zone, they seem to wander randomly around that area. I did not have to call them across the boundary, but it took a few tries for them to be there.

Also, Fleisher #10 shows the same mission boundaries as Fleisher #3. This must be a bug, I completed this mission by killing a red elsewhere on the map.

Just walked about half way around, beginning from east and ending in west. I followed the border of the area and nothing, except a vocal encounter on the south-most end of the area. There's a red deer need zone by the lake but the terrain there is impossible and the deer couldn't get into the zone.
