ATV auto-drive

How long has it been possible to set the ATV to auto-drive (like auto-run)? Has it always been like that? I just discovered it fairly recently, and it could have saved me some sore fingertips earlier on.

Has been that way for as long as I been playing, same as the auto walk/run.

Same as auto walk/run. I set mine to a mouse button so I can't remember the original. It's the same keybind but just goes into effect when you are on the atv.

original keybind for autorun is G and caps lock to toggle run/walk

Interesting, I have tried many many times using the same button as auto walking/running and I just roll to a stop....?

TIL! It took a few tries, but it seemed to work best after getting up to speed, letting off the throttle, then hitting G. Just interesting to note that it's still being applied when you hop off the ATV, and you keep walking without pressing anything. That will save some finger pain when I explore the next new map!

Autodrive was a nice touch but they changed the keybindings. I can't find handbrake any more and jump key being the same as enter/exit vehicle key just gets annoying.

It seems like they removed the handbrake entirely, but added the ability to identify sounds while riding? I'd rather have the handbrake; beyond being fun, now the ATVs handle more like SUVs.

A note on the auto-drive. You usually have to hit the button twice when you first get on the vehicle for it to work.

Tell me ... after long hours in Far Cry 5 and its ATV you instinctively press handbrake only to see yourself dropping to the ground and your ATV running away at high speed. Again and again and again

autodrive doesnt work on my game, any tips? It worked before however.
