what is the best way to hunt mallards and get integrity bonus?

hello, I'd like some tips on hunting mallards on Layton Lake, I do not have the DLC required for the .22LR weapon so all I have are the base weapons in the game, how do I kill mallards and still get the integrity bonus? should I shoot them with a bow? I have the right ammo but it's very hard to hit the shot from far away
I've killed lots of mallards with the .243 but no I get no integrity bonus
What is the most effective way to hunt ducks without a .22LR?

with only base game u can only use the shotguns (Pump action and one more u start with do not reccomend shotgun scopes with small game ) 243 is very overkill for ducks lol if u realy want to hunt ducks get the duck and cover pack u get 20 decoys and can buy as much as u want and 3 duck blinds (and u can buy more) and 3 12 gauges semis (duck caller with base game)

If you dont have integrity to start with, than hunting mallards isnt going to help.

Shotguns loaded with birdshot ammo are your go-to weapon then. I personally prefer the Wild Goose Chase DLC pack because the 20 gauge is fun to shoot and so are geese because they are more predictable to anticipate and hunt. I can't comment on the duck DLC because I never purchased it but shotguns with birdshot are the only integrity you will get going after any birds in this game other than the .22LR
