About the Tigers
So I load up the new map. Exploring, doing missions, checking out the new species. I have currently had 6 Tiger encounters on my map and I have friends who have yet to see even 1.

So. About Tigers. Get a mission to walk about 2 miles. Typical things in CotW. Start the journey. get a nice shot on a decent Barasinga (however thats spelled). In the menu checking out the fur, the rack all of it. Beautifully done animal. Ive never even heard of this creature. Enjoying the details and effort placed by the devs on this animal. Dog growls. Tiger growls. Panic.exe. Hit accapt. Pull a 180 and bust out a gun to drop a class 9 anim..... dead.
Sigh....... ok. Start the 2 mile journey again.
A little later. Make it to location. The wardens talk. Tell me to go that way now. Another 2.5 miles. Start the walk. Run into some Nilgai. Ok. Another creature I havnt seen or heard of in my life. Scanning the herds, checking them out. Wardens talking in my ear. Dog growls. Cat growls. OhIDontThinkSo.exe. Turn 180 and bust out a gun to take out a class 9 anim... dead.
Sigh...........
In these journeys I did manage to take out 4 of the cats. Only 1 of them I got the legit drop on. The rest I caught stalking me. Needless to say... Tigers, though majestic, and well done by the the dev team, are really really really annoying. Reading through some things it seems I am alone in this thinking. Its like wolves. I avoid playing Quatro, and Yukon unless a friend wants to play because the wolves are so annoying. Idk. I guess I play theHunter as a relaxing game more than a horror game and its a shame to have to avoid these maps because of some of these hyper aggressive animals. I get it, Tiger cool. Tiger act like Tiger.. but man...

Ok Rant off... What are your thoughts?

I realize some people avoid collecting all of the reserves, but having that variety allows for changing your environment so you can experience elements of danger when you're in the mood for it, or blissful solitude when you're less brave.

I have them all and really enjoy the different experiences on my terms.

The fact is a player can enjoy this game thoroughly with just Layton and Hersch, which are both huge maps with many varying landscapes.

The DLCs are just bonus. So it's really up to each player whether they want to add particular experiences to their game, or not. Your complaint might be valid if predator aggression was in every map and unavoidable, but it's not.

None of the other aggressive species have that 'jump scare' sense of danger. I certainly wouldn't want it on every map.

Wolves are probably the closest, but you can usually see them coming and pull out a pistol.

Water buffalo are only really dangerous when a whole group stampedes.

Lions can be really dangerous, but you usually find them on the plains and can see them from a mile away.

Tigers are a new experience. If that's not what you're in the mood for, there's plenty of other maps without anything dangerous. ... but it's nice to have this new thing as an option.

Tigers are notorious for stealth hunting, where lions hunt more like wolves.

So it's realistic to have tigers pouncing without warning.

Yes there are times when lions will need to be stealthy too, but it's not predominant as it is with tigers.

When I first encountered wolves in the Yukon I panicked. There were so many of them coming at me, circling around, getting closer and closer. I ended up teleporting to a tent just to avoid them. Over time that changed, Yukon is my favourite reserve, and now when I see wolves approaching I say to myself, "come get some."

Tigers were an even greater panic inducer, especially the very first one. The key for me when hearing a tiger is to get to a somewhat clear area, and wait for the tiger to approach. I've been used as a cat toy twice, wounded 1, spotted 1 that got away, and taken down 4 others. Nepal is quickly surpassing Yukon as my go-to reserve. Love the abundance of Water Buffalo, and the fact they're very aggressive.

I find playing with headphones helps a lot with the tigers. The growl will give you some indication of where they are but it's actually their footsteps that help a lot with finding them. If I hear a growl, I immediately try to move to a more open area and then just stop and listen for the footsteps to help me pinpoint where the tiger is and this is made much easier with headpones. It doesn't mean the tigers never get me (I've died to them twice now) but I am able to survive most encounters with them.

I have had a few scary wolf encounters. One was when I was headed to a hunting blind while the wolves were chasing bison. They then turned and focused on me. I got inside the blind just in time and had 6 wolves circling the blind snarling at me. It was still dark and I had to use the light, and it was pretty scary to see.

I have yet to encounter a tiger on the new map, then again, i don't see much of anything other than yaks.

Watch any video of them attacking in the wild people and other animals, they wait till you turn around , slowly walk through the grass, sit & wait, lays down & breathes. Like a sniper waiting for the perfect moment , the perfect chance. I think it’s perfect but I understand not everyone is wants to have to walk far so too help others take a tent you can fast travel too it same as you’re friends, I do it a lot on Australia map etc.

I think the Tigers are done very very well. They are animated well. They act very well. The team did a great job on the Tiger. I guess I have two options. Suck it up buttercup or not play a map I paid for. Shame really, but the systems were all on the tin before I bought it. Guess I didnt think they would be this... uh... realistic? Bloodthirsty? Not sure what I thought. After 400+ hours in the game i didnt really think about it.
Oh well. Seems Im alone on this Island hahaha
Im now up to 8 Tiger encounters and some of my friends still havnt even seen one.

Hello, I have all the maps, all the equipment and I have over 2900 hours of games!
The designers have increased the price of the new map excessively in my opinion, for improvement they say!
There are always recurring problems. There, my character starts walking in slow motion, we don't know why! It's unplayable! Still no new glasses worthy of the name! Our character cannot normally overcome the slightest climb, hillocks on slopes or stones which are not insurmountable! Instead of selling us, or trying, paints and camouflages that are useless, they would do better to improve this game which has existed for several years!
Good game everyone

Some areas, I haven't finished them yet, are completely devoid of animals! Note that the buffaloes are very aggressive, but that adds spice to the game. The tiger attacks are violent and difficult to escape, as soon as there is a growl I climb onto my portable watchtower. The missions are fun but there are too many distances between each meeting point. There aren't enough lodges in certain areas, I'm putting up tents to remedy that!
Hello, see you
