2-6 or 2-4 for class 2, 3
4-8 for class 4, 5, 6
7-9 for class 7, 8, 9
Canning Magnum- 7-9 classes
Zarza Predator- 4-8 classes
Zarza Stalker- 2-4 classes
Perfect loadout for pretty much every situation, if you want riffle for 1 classes use Virant 22LR (if you have packing mule skill just throw it in your loadout and you have riffles for every class) I also have almost 10k bow points so I can surely recommend Hawk edge bow (highest penetration, quiet, good scope)
And concerning backpacks I agree with Proximo. Leave the electronic caller at a lake (or some animal hotspot), due to weight issues I would not carry the caller around the whole time. Take a good rifle for classes 4-6 instead.
My two favorite rifles that I use the most are the FL Sporter .303 and the Olsson Model 23 .308. I just love the way both of these rifles handle and I always feel comfortable taking shots from almost any distance with them. Other 4-8 rifles I really enjoy are the Eckers .30-06 and .270 if I want to challenge myself.
For a smaller game, my favorite is the Zagan Varminter .22-250. I’ve really enjoyed this rifle ever since it came out. Very accurate and plenty powerful enough for anything class 2 or 3. Alternatively, I also enjoy the Zarza .223 AR. The .223 buff is exactly what this rifle needed and it’s a fantastic small game weapon now.
Then for a big game rifle, it’s hard to beat the Canning .300 magnum and Arzyna .300 AR. I really can’t decide which one I like more. I also still use the Rangemaster .338 if I want a bit of a challenge.
Between .22H and the .22LR, I actually like .22H more since I have the option to use it class 2 animals as well. That’s not to say I don’t like the .22LR though.
And with shotguns, my favorite is the Couso Model 1897 followed pretty closely by the Strandberg 10SA Executive.
Ranger .243
7mm Regent Magnum
and a lot of Houyi Recurve Bow (while bow hunting, no other weapons)
But mostly depending what level is the top animal, and if the level 1 are interesting enough.
.22 virant
.243 ranger
303 sporter or 300 cannigan (depending on what big game is on the map)
and the rhino handgun with 100 pen. ammo.
With this setup i only need to switch the big game rifle and can hunt pretty much everything.
Just because a gun might shoot farther a bit more accurately doesn't mean a thing if it's just barely getting into the skin. You gotta have pen!!!
@ Proximo, that 300 Canning was my favorite until that Arzyna. I've worked them both hard on the firing range and the AR loses a bit of range but more than makes up for it with that decreased aftershock and quicker reload. The extra shell can come in handy when buffalo hunting. I really suggest you give it a try. The kickback from that Canning is brutal. If you liked the Canning you will love the Arzyna. But some people don't consider the autos to be fair.
Regarding that extra backpack, players should know ahead of time that you cannot take it off once you put it on. It's not like other removable items.
When considering storage versus noise, given the non-removable aspect, priority should always be noise. Same with perks. Not much sense in building silence only to compromise it permanently. iMHO, silence skills are non-negotiable. I grab them all even if it means having to actually look a little harder when trying to pinpoint the exact location of a sound bubble, or a bit of health bar. I don't need everything to be popping up in highlights and I don't need to be able to move faster or to leap off mountains and survive, lol. I'd much rather be able to spook less animals as I try to be stealthy.
Zagan Varminter .22-250 (Class 2-4)
Malmer 7mm Magnum (Class 4-9)
I'll add a Kullman .22H (Class 1-2) if I am specifically after small game, a shotgun if after birds, or a bow if I want to be silent. However, those 2 rifles cover everything other than Class 1, provided you take good shots and are willing to walk a bit.
Another good all-rounder is the Moradi Model 1894 (Classes 3-8) which you can balance out with the Kullman .22H and the Arzyna .300 Mag Tactical.
soloknin
.45 rollerstone
anderson 22lr
i have all dlcs, but this makes it more challenging and fun. i like ww2 weapons
Not sure what you mean by that. You can remove them on the character screen.
I once read there was a bug that the effect regarding noise and visibility wasn't removed when they were taken off again, but that wasn't the case for me.
Not sure about the current version.
how to hold your breath to shoot, the wobbling of the weapons irritates, impossible to shoot correctly.
Maybe that's been changed at some point, I'll have to google it. Far as I know it hasn't, but I'm basing that on not having read about it anywhere, as it should have been important enough to be very prominent news.
I can't speak to observing any personal difference because I wouldn't put it on without knowing it was changed.
I've recently heard people saying it was still an increase to noise, but maybe I missed that they were now able to at least remove that affect.
Point is that if that increase cannot be removed when backpack is removed, than it just isn't worth the storage benefit.
Need to know!
