and they work like poo poo caca to this day
Only one new rig per map.
We'll have the Tigers, the macaques are veryveryveryvery unlikely, although id love them
That being said, now that the game is firmly in its 'completed' stage, I do find it odd that they aren't investing all their time into creating new animal mechanics. So much time between updates as well.
A prior comment said that alligators were a major new addition. Personally I don't see it. They're the same as every other creature in the game, with a typical frame, walk/run/idle animations and some basic parameters set for when to warn, when to run, when to attack (if at all), etc.
I feel all the animals are extremely formulaic, there is no difference in hunting technique between any of them.
Very much doubt that this game is in "completed" stage or is some legacy sunset. They're still working on theHunter.
As for primates: Yeah, very unlikely / hard to do, and in my opinion also not something that a significant part of players would find important.
The squirrels ran on the ground and didn't climb trees or at least not that I ever saw. Squirrels and the weasel/mink were just something in the background to make the world seem more alive. Pity they got removed about the time EW started adding more animals to existing maps.
Given the collision models of some trees stopping an arrow in mid air; I'd hate to have to shoot something out of a tree.
