The devs official position is "NO, don't use them."

there is absolutely no chance you get ban, I can bet no one ever got banned in this game cause devs dont care about game, but if you use them and say it loud on steam thread you may get really not nice comments. I personally dont use "mods" also called cheats and I absolutely hate people who do it in multiplayer games, but I put too much money in this account to insult people and risking it with ban of my acc :)

then your settings are ultra low or something wrong with your game, animals dissapear at 420m or they dont render past that distance

You're not gonna get banned at all since it's impossible to be banned from this game. But the game does not officially support mods so if you use them, just be aware that they might cause unintended side effects like glitches to occur.

Really only 200 meters? What are your settings because the game should be able to render them out to around 450 meters.

Doping is illegal ... LOL... and of course unsportsmanlike... if you compare your success and effort to the others :steammocking:

If your playing single player then do as you like. its your game your experience. They can not stop you from playing your game. Multi person maybe but not sure. Discussing mods on the blog is suppose to be forbidden and may get your post deleted.. I personally have 1000s of hours playing this game and love it the way it is except for all the girly cosmetics as of late. Bethesda has been very successful allowing users to make and use mods. It has made their great games even greater. Cotw would be even better if they would incorporate a mod system. However then people wouldnt pay for cosmetic dlcs.

I left WoW because of the LGBTQIA+ pandering in mid march asfter TWENTY YEARS of it being the only game i played! If it happens here, im out of gaming forever, because most of the cosmetic packs are just girly AF!

Do as you please in single player but I wouldn't talk about mods on these forums or make it a habit of using them in random public online lobbies. I'd also advise against submitting bug reports while using mods, as it could very well be the mods causing your game to break.

It's like this ...it ain't about whether mods are allowed or not. It's about why. There are valid reasons for and against.

The facts are....if you modify your game folder than you typically create potential conflict between your system and developer updates, and should you risk that you have no grounds to complain about any issues you run into afterwards.
