There should be one on nexus iirc. But it only effect animals.

The real problem, at least for me is vegetation.

Most maps honestly dont suffer too bad from this issue, which is a limitation of the old engine. At least that's what people told to me, when i asked abou this issue.

After i played all maps now, there are actually only a few who suffer really bad from this issue. Africa would be the worst in that regard, with so much open space to look upon.

Most maps are made in a way, that you will not notice it. You cant watch that far because of vegetation and terrain.

Aye defo maps are made well, and you won't notice it the majority of the times. But sometimes, for example some lakes are much larger than 450 meters... I would love to be able to spot animals on those. I'll check nexus. THanks.

Yes you are right. Lakes are a bit of a problem in deed.

Yeah, what bothers me most is seeing bunnies from 100 meters away in the field and discovering them hardly visible in the tall grass upon getting closer. If the bunny is hidden by the grass, it shouldn't be visible when the grass is not visible. IMO

Don´t download anything from Nexus. Since these mods are not supported, they most likely won´t be compatible with the game after the next update. I think a lot of cases of broken gamefiles are caused by mods.

The actual mod builder works on all parts, it was updated yesterday.
Before that only gun/ammo characteristic changes were broken with the latest game update. You compile your setting yourself within that tool, so you can select the features you want. I think (i never tried MP) it only works in single player.

Your profile is not broken without the mod folder. I tested this now several times to check, if the neverending screaming puma is from mod or from game (it is from game, what else..). Spawns/ prices/ xp /ATV specs etc just go back to normal without the folder.

I have tested the most options myself, but i reduced or kicked many of them out, if they felt unbalanced/ unneccessary.

The view range works nicely with 775m/500m for birds.
But it can cause nerve wrecking effects. If you can see that wide, you have more animals rendered. What means also the hunting animals like wolf and effing puma. On Parque Fernando i set the view range to 500m in/ 530m out after a while.
That way i had max. 2 nonstop screaming pumas instead of up to 4. With their horrible sound quality it was just painful. Wolfes in Cuatro Colinas have also that hunting/ screaming, but with a better quality and a bit less frequence.

With 775m view range i had a red deer integrity kill on 640m with Eckers (.303 couldn't handle it well). I had to set aim at 2 dots up on 300m zeroing, what is just luck at that distance. It's fun to do that, but more useful is the range up to 500m for the lakes. I often have kills at lakes at 400-450m.

I started a fresh profile with full economics. Means, i added prices depending on power to all DLC guns and equipment. I still haven't bought all guns, too pricey, if you set higher guns to 60-80k credits.

Before the normal profile mentioned above i started a profile with all skills and perks possible, to see how it plays with all features. First it looked fine, but after a while it felt too easy, so i made a new profile again. To choose skills wisely for your playstyle is more fun than a profile that can all.

But tbh 25 points for skills/perks would be perfect to me. Or drop requirements for next stage on skills and for perks it would be good to choose what you want without having to progress through not wanted weapon perks.

To reach the unlock state of the previous profile, where i already unlocked all the needed requirement points, i set the XP x5 on the fresh profile to reach the max lvl and unlocked weapon requirements i had before faster.

Sadly you can't move your quest unlock/ progress, so i had to leave the 6.5mm Rayo (a second time after the retired very old profile) and Te Awaroa .303 on my old All-in-One profile.

I also raised the weight limit. It's just a micromanagment instrument to have lousy 23kg with perk. So i set the perk bonus from 3kg to 20kg. now i can have a nice loadout without too many sacrifices, with e-caller and a tent together with day/night bino, 2-3 sights+night and weapons. I play for fun, not for inventory planning.

Additionally i changed the Eckers to have 5 ammo capacity, like the original gun has. Eckers has the weight disadvantage over M1, so additionally less ammo is not needed.

The ATV is now at max. 70 km/h with medium traction/power settings. To me it's just an unlocker for towers/outposts, no need to be slow.

To raise Diamond spawns is imo the best way to destroy the own gaming experience. I started a game with max dia spawn. It looks crazy with like 50-60 Dias, but i would never play with that.

I thought the setting Animal population could be useful, to buff older maps with less than 3-3.2k animals, but you can only set it in full numbers, so +100%, +200% etc.
+100% would make Emerald a 8500 animals map. I tested Cuatro Colinas with +400% (~13k animals)to see what happens and the game began a massive stuttering while every 100m was a need zone full of animals.

Personally i would have used a +10-30% population raise for maps below 3k animals, what are older and feel pretty empty. But that's not an option with the tool. 3.200-3.400 animals are a good base amount.

Weapon integrity classes is an option too in the mod builder menu, but i don't need that. I would weaken my bought DLCs, if i would set a single gun like the .300 to class 1-9.

Equipment limit is a very useful thing, i hated it to have only 7? tents on some maps, especially with waterfowl. x20 and the limit is practically gone.

Sadly the mod builder don't offer negative variables to make my game harder. I'm not smart enough to change the mod builder .xmls to accept stuff like that.

I really would like to lower the income per harvest by 5 at least and lower the ammo costs by 3-4. That would make buying guns a highlight within a no free DLC-stuff setting.

The mod builder is great for view range and some economic settings, the most options can be with minor effects to extreme cheating.
