I know a lot of people that spend thousands on hunting/fishing gear in the real world.
And they hunt/fish because they enjoy it and do it to fill their freezers.
Where I'm from, it's actually illegal to buy/sell wild game meat, Same for fish.
There are exceptions, wild animals or fish raised on a farm
(elk, whitetail, Bison farms all over the state I live in as well as a few other animal farms,
I know of no commercial fish farms myself, but they could be some around?)
Fish can be sold by the natives on tribal lands as well as by permit for some types of fish.
By permit (non native people) it's a lot more regulated and the species of fish is very limited.
Hear you on the zombie thing though.
Been sick of zombies after night of the living dead for the 10'th time.
And that's before any ever put zombies in a game. (old movie)
But nothing saying a survival game has to include zombies.
I personally love the Idea, something like RDR2 as a base for an example would be awesome.
Hunting/fishing simulation part, over hunt or fish a area, and soon that resource is gone.
Just buy a survival game.
Yes, I've played the game 80 hours more than you have. If I were in any of these reserves in real life it would take me like 5-10 minutes to get to a road and around an hour to just walk out of the park (on the road). It's not exactly a survival scenario.
