I've had animals walk within a few feet of the dog when it was laying down next to the blind I was in.
Tracking wounded animals with the hound may cause the animal to remain in flee state longer and travel farther than if you didn't spook it and it slowed down.
The dog barking doesn't seem to have any effect on wildlife however.
Note too that is you walk too far from the dog when it's laying down it will automatically change to Heeling and follow you.
If you go slow the dog will too, if you sneak he will do so as well.
I always feel like I should run to keep up to stop it from barking, but that makes a ton of noise and I don't have breathe to steady a shot If I need to.
Whats the play while using It to track blood trails? Run and make noise and have no breathe? Walk and Ignore Its barking?
Thanks for the responses guys :D
Yeah, they don't hear the dog.
