you can't eat it anymore the meat was gone....
Using rocket launchers to take out rabbits might be realistic in some places but other places around the world it certainly isn't. Its just laziness on your part.
It might not make sense in every case, i give you that. But the game needs some mechnaics to not make it too easy, like others pointed out.
Another way of looking at it is the better and more professionally you hunt, the greater the rewards.
Shooting an animal that's charging at you isn't hunting, it's self defence.
To be honest I'm getting tired of posts which fail to understand the basic premise of the game.
If a high rating animal bolts, you slowly pick up the trail and wait for a better chance.
Do you just run around the map shooting at anything you see without spotting it and then you complain that you used the wrong gun? How do you know its even a good animal, or the animal with the highest rating in the pack?
Also picking a gun with hotkeys and the perk / skill that makes switching faster takes like one second.
I really dont get this complaint tbh.
I was thinking the same thing. I've had the odd moments where I blasted something like a fox with the .300 magnum but it's always an accident when it happens. If you've got the wrong gun out and the animal you wanna shoot is running off, just pick up it's track and follow it or reset the time and check the area for it's need zones. There's never a need to shoot it with the wrong gun.
