You can crouch, and then with "shift" you can adjust the speed.

Not directly, but you could crouch which is even better. :-)

Lookup the crouch key in Settings > Key bindings.

BTW: You could also fast crouch by pressing run while crouching (or if you are running by pressing crouch). The same applies for prone.

If you use a controller with analog sticks (I use an XBox One S controller via mini USB cable) you can both walk and crouch slow or fast with the stick held halfway to the max throw. I still use a mouse for aiming and interacting with the map, etc, but the controller is great for walking around.

The key is to monitor your noise level on the HUD. IMO walking or running is best used when traveling from point A to point B. Spooking distance varies somewhat with each species as well as the difficulty level of the animal. Walking can spook animals 150 meters away from you. Running 200 meters. ATV 300 meters. The more alert the animal is, the greater their sensitivity is to my noise and stink is. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust the walking or running speed. Changing from walking to a crouch will usually drop your noise level by one white bar. Crawling will drop it to further. You can move either fast or slow when you are crouching or crawling.

Hmmm....
Sometimes in high grass or bushes slow walking would be much better when crouhing. I´d like to see where i´m going.
So there is no way to do it without a controller?

It would be nice to have the addition of being able to walk slowly, same speed as crouch or fast crouch but making you more visible than crouch.
