Short of being able to read the contents of the game's data files, you can't - that's the point.
The initial animal population's demographics, including locations of need zones, is all based on random sampling of probability distributions, and it is unique for each new game instance. You have to get out and hunt for them on your maps.
It's as if you'd need a utility that scans the population file. If it existed. And if it did, don't talk about it.
But if it existed would it be a mod? Or a utility? Are utilities allowed?
Technically, I'd say it was still a cheat, in the sense that it would give you an unfair advantage over players who play the game on its own terms. It's also cheating yourself - players who legitimately 'beat the game on its own terms' can enjoy the achievement and the personal satisfaction of having developed the patience and persistence to win honestly.
Cadet James T. Kirk may have modded the Kobiyashi Maru Test, but in that alternate timeline caused by the temporal incursion of a Romulan mining vessel (as we learn in ST:Discovery:Season3:Terra Firma), the then Lt. Spock told him he missed the true point of the test.
At what point have I won Call of the Wild?
Knowing there are 3 diamond whitetails on Revontuli or whatever does not give me an advantage over anyone since I am not playing against anyone. I prefer to have this info. Cheat seems a stretch, but the fact remains I can use it all I want and others can maintain their competitive integrity by not using it. Seems about right.
It's just my personal opinion, and not binding on anyone else.
Yes, perhaps 'win' was not the right word - 'be successful in hunting(the most valuable trophies)' seems more appropriate in the context of this game.
But, let me ask you, how would you use the information on a map's population demographics if you did have it?
