Can't switch scope with reticle item menu any more?

It used to be you could open the item reticle, highlight a gun, and press e to alternate through scopes, and that would actually change the scope equipped on the guns. It was a quicker way to changed equipped scopes without having to open the main inventory menu and drag and drop. This doesn't seem to work anymore? I can still alternate through the scopes on the very same menu, but it doesnt equip them or anything. I tried left clicking and right clicking to close the menu instead of just releasing the reticle menu button, but no matter what I do it just doesnt save the scopes I select as equipped.

Anyone know whats goin on here and how to fix it?

That feature is still working fine.

Do you have multiple scopes in your inventory?
If you don't save your inventory, the contents will disappear after rebooting.
Press S on the storage screen to save.

I do. I have one for day and one for night with night vision. It always worked before, but now I started playing again and its not working. I can still switch to them in the reticle menu but it doesnt actually equip them.

When I searched, the same problem was reported once on this forum and once on Discord.
But unfortunately I didn't get anything about how to deal with it. Since the number of reports is small, it may be due to personal environments, or it may be a bug that occurs very rarely.

So than, it's an auddity! Lol

When you say reinstall, do you mean start over from scratch?

How would that solve anything Auddity? You could just be revisiting the issue at a lower level.

Or do you somehow reinstall and use a game save file that keeps your progress? I'm curious how this works? I've never done this before.

Figgered it was something like that. Of course, nothing ever goes the way it's supposed to with me, so I'd never risk it. Lol
