I like the idea of a dinosaur map for COTW, but this game us certainly not that.
I would like you to re-release it after making the graphics and gameplay more beautiful and easier to play. I can imagine how difficult that would be, but it is a game with a good idea, so I hope you will do something to revive it.
All that remains is the scope and bino problem, which only occurs if you have more than one landing pod or Queen egg in your inventory. If you take them out and then pick them up again it usually solves the issue.
Other than that picking up too many items from the skull cache in one go can occasionally cause a crash resulting in a loss of all inventory.
But thats fun, starting again with absolutely no gear. LOL.
But an easy way to fix that is to jump of a cliff or let a dino kill you and go back and buy what you need from the store.
A 308, shotgun and machette, and you get more action without the camo.
I had a look at Dino hunt, for an hour, only saw one dino attack in that time, Boring as hell. I have killed up to 30 Raptors at the valley crossing in that time playing primal.
In the case of Classic and primal there are several direct comparisons. The 308 semi is the same rifle as the 7mm bullpup. It even still has the same name , (7mm) on the barrel. The bow is the snakebite. The pistols are the same. The graphic settings are the same and the controls are also all the same.
The fact that you say the graphics are not as good surprises me. My Graphics are the same quality and frame speeds are within the same parameters as what I get with the other classic maps. I use the same settings on both games.
Perhaps you need to play a few more times to find the groove. I personally find more prey per hour than is possible on classic but that is because I have played since its release and know where the animals are most likely to be.
Once you learn the safe places that are all over the map, ( Rocks and logs and steep faces the dinos cant climb ) and how to use them it is possible to play several sessions and kill multiple dinosours without suffering the indignity of dying.
Even the Trex can be killed with two shots from the 308 if your aim is good.
Spend some more time and the game will open up for you.
Personally I don't think Expansive Worlds and Avalanche Studios get how big of a profit they would get from reviving Thehunter: Primal.
But that's just what I think.. :)
