Melanistic banteng?
Does anyone have a screenshot of this? It's the last one missing from the mission, and I've taken a lot of photos, but haven't found this. I have no idea what I should be looking for. The mocha variation I got by taking a photo of a group and it just happened to be there. Still don't know which one of them it was.

Just got the heart shot from 25 meters quite accidentally as I was in a hunting stand trying to lure magpie geese and several bantengs decided to go right past the stand. It was a good idea to choose the Grelck drilling rifle for the shotgun.

As far as I understand, mission rare requirements simply mean that that fur variation is guaranteed to spawn or has already spawned. It should just be an all solid black banteng to my knowledge. It will stand out when you see it.

No easy mission. The chance for a Banteng to spawn as a Melanistic is at 0,05 %. So I guess, you have to shoot around 2000 Banteng to get him to spawn.

Go to The Hunter: call of the wild Wiki website. Put in Banteng Fur Varients - or any other animal for that matter - and it will give their photo's. I had the same problem yesterday as i do not have the Skill point to show these fur variations so have to rely on sight. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the answers. I checked the Wiki, and it is indeed a black one. I have all the track knowledge skills, but it is useful to know how it looks like as I'm after the geese right now, and see the bantengs from far most of the time. No use going after one, unless it looks right. Then I can find its tracks and check.
