An Enitrely New Game Experience
There's a guy, Brian Roller, who wrote two mods for COTW, two mods that have completely changed the way I play the game and renewed my interest in it.

Both can be found on Nexus mods.

The first is called Mod Builder, it allows you to change most aspects of the game like walk speed, weapon ballistics, magazine size, zero range, item costs, render range, population numbers, etc. You can make the game as realistic, or as difficult, or as easy as you'd like.

The next is called Animal Population Changer which allows you to change male/female ratios and diamond spawns - as well as Great Ones if you're so inclined.

The Dev's should have made all of that game features long ago. The point of any game is to have fun. Everyone has a different idea of what's fun. Therefore put the decisions in the hands of We the People.

AGAIN.

See https://store.steampowered.com/eula/518790_eula_0
and 18. Prohibited use.

Says clearly :
"* Use of your own or third-party software to modify any content appearing within the Game, its environment or change how the Game is played or services used;"

Above all, these mods have nothing to do with a new gaming experience, but are clearly in the direction of cheating. :steamfacepalm:

The thing is, we aren't really supposed to talk about mods here.

Not to mention the long chain of users that are going to be blaming the ensuing conflicts on the game itself.

"mod" - when you're this pathetic, at least be honest and call your cheating cheating.
Buwahahahaha!! Are you so pathetic you really think the mods nailed it for movement, noise, visibility, critter behavior, etc??? You clueless city folk are very amusing.

Pretty sure i've said this before, but people who are interested in modding call of the wild more than likely have tons of time spent on it, and are looking to liven up their experience a little. Therefore, they already know what to blame on the game, and what to blame on their modifications.

Do you get some kind of monetary gain from EW for sticking up for them? Why wouldn't you be on the side of the little guys, wanting to squeeze the most fun out of their games? :steamsad:

Thanks for sharing this... despite purists and the game developers screaming into the sky about what we do in our single player worlds, people like you will always come through and provide :steamhappy:

Hey, my pleasure. I love this game and have almost all the DLC and have explored most of the maps pretty extensively. However, I like realism and there's a few things the game falls short on that mods can make up for.

For instance, the male to female ratios some species are way off - like lions and crocodiles. Way, way too many males. lions should be 1:4 and crocs should be near 1:10. but in the game is close to 1:1. That's so players get more trophies, and kinda like cheating nature.

There's also so many QOL aspects that can be fixed by mods as well.

There are discussions on nexus. If you expect a forum full of people who play the game with the odds as intended -- which can mean hundreds of hours to get a handful of diamonds -- to warmly welcome these kind of hacks, well that is just unrealistic.
