Ya know like the copper spit bowls they used to have in Far West saloons LOL !
Then feel free to do so.
Tell gramps that we all said hello.
There's alot of missions like this that seem to be deliberately placed outside of habitats.
Been complaints since the beginning, remember them Grampy??? Lol
And I can't really disagree that it seems undeserved punishment.
But I think the Devs have always considered the missions to be somewhat tutorial in premise, and meant to teach us very specific dynamics that most hunters would confront during their outings at some point.
All I did was state an opinion about this game. I have played over 5400 hours and I don't give a rats. . . What I have to do for a mission. It's fun. But I was talking for the many new players that got this base game and Aussie map and then they are faced with this type of mission. Also, disrespect for my Grandpa is just wrong! He is dead by the way, and I can not tell him HELLO!
BTW, both blocked
But consider this:
1. Some people like variation - shoot, photograph, collect, etc.
2. Some people like hard, seemingly impossible, missions
3. "Stupid" missions for you may not be a "stupid" missions for others...
Many set their own goals when going for a hunt, others "need" the game to set the goal. Many like both and jumps between free-roam and the mission bucket list, taking on a "mission" when the right circumstances arises.
For me, having uncompleted missions to come back to is fun when I need a predetermined challenge. Perhaps after I have got my diamond of a certain species, or a rare that I have sought for so long. The fact that the game provides side-missions and at the same time gives me freedom not to do the missions, is awesome. Often when I finally take on that "stupid" mission, I end up discovering new things in COTW; new ways to hunt, new patterns of animal behavior, new favorite spots, or unknown/hidden game mechanics.
Since you were talking, not from your own perspective, but for the many new players (you "don't give a rats..."), my reflection may be better aimed for them as well.
