Running on foot everywhere is utterly stupid
I bought the game bc there is guy and 4 weel buggy.
The buggy was not in the game. They ask $ for it.

I already have a game where you run around like a mad man. It is called walking simulator on Mars or something like that. Now I found out it is NOT unlock able feature I cannot even request refund.

No. You can buy the weapons that are in the base game. But there are also lots of weapons (including many that are part of recommended loadouts) offered in various DLCs. The only way of getting those weapons, is buying the DLCs.

The same goes for other very useful features like the bloodhound, or the tents and tripods. You need to buy their respective DLC if you want to use them.
Thank you. So it is pay to win crap. it is then bigger pile of :poisontraitor: :meatRaw: :sotxbones:

It took you 18 hours of gameplay & 20+ screenshots to realize there's no atv? The normal person would have known what's in the game or what's not before buying, via doing research on their possible purchase. This is what TF2 for 7k hours does to a brain, i guess.

I suggest you enjoy the game (stories and missions) at your own pace and allow yourself to level up without being fixated by "grinding" your way through. As someone said, there is no beating the game, there is no end to rush towards. Take it slow and enjoy your hunts!

Wise man.

I do not like you anymore.

Thank you James. When I look at some of the distances - 6 min, 30 min.. I am not going to sit by PC and just walk.

the ATV makes too much noise though you are quieter if you go around on foot, I did all the maps like this and it didn't bother me, try enjoying the scenery as you do it, this isn't a rush type game

Personally,. I only use the ATV to discover a new map. Once I have opened all the outposts and found all the points of interest, I don't use it again. The ATV makes too much noise, which is not realistic, as I have ridden a real quad within 15 feet of deer before they spook!

I understand your viewpoint completely.
However, when you set out to walk to a destination, you often (more than often) walk into an opportunity to shoot and harvest animals that you did not expect. Perhaps a gold, a rare or even a diamond? But I understand that it feels unclear what is in the base game and what is not unless you read real carefully what is in the different packages. Hope you can still enjoy the game and perhaps get the ATV at a discount eventually?

This game is insanely cheap. The only reason you can remotely compare the DLC offered with micro-transactions is because of the extremely low price this studio offers everything. However, don't make the mistake to think that it is on the same level as the micro-transactions in your average free to play title. Every new map represents hundreds of hours. Almost every pack adds to the gameplay, some of them are redundant but the price is very low and most is there because the community asked for them.

The ATV is now at what? About one euro?? like a 1.20 USD? And it would be even cheaper if you buy as part of a pack. This is astronomically far away from things like World of Warships, where they can charge you anything between 50-100 USD for a single ship. Put your feet back in the ground. Take a deep breath. Consider. If you still think this is pay 2 win "crap" (incredibly dumb claim for a single player game and where there is no PvP), then I'll tend to think that the crap is where your actual brain should be.

Like El Poto pointed out and that I also want to emphasize: Every map/reserve DLC is like an entire new game. Currently many reserves go for under 2 euros! Even at regular price, ~7 euro, it is good value.

I like the game. But the longer i play the more i agree with op.

Walking just to explore or cover the distance between special hunting grounds for the missions sure gets old by now. And i haven seen all of the Lake map.

You need to run anyway or it would take ages. So you scare off animals anyway. Yes you can find a good shot on the move. But just ignoring that and drive thru the forest should be a base option in the game. Maybe after you have explored some regions.

I will buy the quad on sale along with some other stuff.
Secret Squirrel Jul 10, 2023 @ 6:21am
If one thinks running scares animals, well, don't even think about buying the ATV DLC. It spooks animals within 500 meters.

I bought the DLC and rarely use it.

The game sells for like $7 right now. Most of this in this forum paid a lot more, and paid that a few times over in DLC's.

This game isn't for everyone. But the types that want a hunting game that requires patience, exploration, shooting skill, etc. this is a fine game. But it isn't GTA Hunters Version.

Oh yeah. It's a whole buck 39 USD, that's outrageous!
