- Stand still. Moving increases the wobble drastically.
- Wait until your heart rate (indicated in the lower right corner of the screen) has calmed down. Your heart rate influences the wobble.
- Hold your breath (there's a key for that). You may need to put points into the rifle perk "Breath Control" for this to have an effect on the wobble.
- Put two points in the rifle perk "Steady Hands", which reduces the wobble for all weapons.
I'm not sure if crouching or going prone has an effect on the wobble, might be worth testing.
Regarding recoil, you can put up to 3 points in the shotgun perk "Recoil Management", which reduces the recoil of all weapons. It's still pretty hefty though, depending on the weapon.
Shooting from a crouched or prone position does reduce the sway. Standing has the most sway, prone the least.
You definitely want the Breath Control perk with all levels.
As said before you´ll need all the perks that reduce wobble and also at least go crouch or prone if possible and also hold your breath for each shot.
They don´t even fix severe bugs like the audio bug that makes calls come from the wrong direction which affects many people.
All they care is money so they once in a while make a new copy paste reserve for some additional income and call it a day.
My point is no matter how much we complain or what we suggest, they don´t care at all so don´t waste your time.
The game uses a rather simple dynamic model to simulate the Lissajous figure of the aim wobble. The gun is essentially fixed at one end (the breech) and the barrel is free to oscillate in the 2 orthogonal directions (perpendicular to the bore axis). There is no two-points-of-support of the weapon, so standing, crouched or prone, there are no bipods or bags to rest the stock and stabilize it.
Yeah, it's simpler than real world physics, but...
It is still possible to earn the perks and learn to shoot accurately in this game. I have 2500hrs (across 2 platforms and 3 games, now starting a 4th on my PS4). I have no issues with making accurate shots, but then again, I have the patience to wait for the opportune moments.

I have hundreds of these pictures mainly to study the anatomy in order to become a better shooter. Some of these shots were not possible if the guns were inaccurate so please don´t missunderstand this as bragging, that is not my intention ,I just wanted to proof that I know what I´m talking about and I can tell you the rifles are absolutely accurate, though wind does play a role especially on targets further away.
I wouldn't mind if they added bipods or shooting sticks as accessories to reduce the sway even further - that would be more realistic - 'if I can do it in real life hunting, I should be able to do it in the game' (and don't get started on a bodily functions DLC HAHA!)
On the other hand, given that the veteran players can all make better than 90% of our shots even with the current model and the perks, is there really a good reason for us to complain? Or for EW to make it a high priority for improvement.
