Can we get finally a CotW 2 please?

Title. I'm bored with the weird animal KI, the limited animal animations, the lack of social behavior between the animals, and the semi-good-looking animals with lifeless eyes. So is a part 2 planned?

I think it is time to make a next step after 5-6 years.

To be honest, I'd rather have the developers keep adding content to this game, than releasing a barebones bug-ridden sequel and nickel-and-diming us all over again with DLC that should have been included from the start.

You seem to assume that a sequel would be better than what we currently have. I have my doubts about that.

I mean this is technically CotW 2. The Hunter classic is CotW 1. And some people still prefer classic.

This game also has so much content that I still haven't gotten to yet if they legitimately released CotW 2 I wouldn't get around to playing it for a good while unless it was significantly better.

I know this sounds crazy but I honestly wish they'd sell the maps for more money. They are extremely cheap for what you get. Look at the truck simulator games and how much they charge for their maps which seem like half the size and don't look even a quarter as good I feel ripped off buying american truck simulator expansions.

I feel like I get a bargain with CotW maps. I mean, if they made them AS expensive as American truck sim maps, I'd still feel ripped off. CotW maps are often like $8 when they could sell for maybe $15. The cheap prices just ensure I always purchase every CotW DLC. Whereas in American truck sim I pick and choose because its expensive.

What? The DLCs should be 5 bucks! I mean, how much effort do they put in the game?! I'm playing on PS4 and it is buggy AF. Plus the graphics look like it was designed by 3D Realms. The flora is all 2D graphics and the Fauna is a lifeless joke. This game is so behind the nowadays standards and there is so much missing. I seriously consider to switch to Way of the Hunter.

First off may never change they would have to throw away two games not going to happen. I would take more new behaviors better looking skins and always new antlers and new skins. New trophy's that's where its at ,I still don't have 65% of the trophy's out there now . Nothing really wrong with this game. But going around the next hill you just never know what you will run in to. This game still rocks as far as Im concerned......I still don't have but one rare Moose yet..........

I can wait for The Hunter 3, still so much to explore still in this game. but as long as we get Horses and bow fishing and all the previous reserves from Classic and COTW in the next one I'd be happy. And no cap of the skills and perks

The "flaws" listed by the OP are only minor things that barely affect gameplay. I'll be pretty mad if the devs suddenly announced a "COTW 2" after investing so much in the current one.

A new version would imply starting from scratch and very likely with a lot of missing features. No way.

Maps are already way too cheap. I'll be willing to pay more if that implied having better QA and faster bug fixing. In any case the maps are regularly on sale for much less than "5 bucks".

The fact you think they should be $5 is insane. They give you missions and huge maps with multiple animals.
They cost $9 for a map on Xbox.

The angler has a full on pass. So we got all the DLCS for $20.

Any other game you pay for dlc can cost you from $15-40… and your complaining about $9… maybe the issue isn’t the game. It’s the system you’re playing on or the TV…. Because i can tell you this much. My Xbox one and series x on a 55” tv which is even a little to big to be gaming on. This game looks incredible.

The game looks GREAT! Buy a computer worthy of running it instead of an Xbox, and you would see it in all its glory with all settings at max!! After over 45 years of gaming, i can say this game looks great! Not Farcry great, but dang close!

well it would atleast be worth to make something like an next-gen upgrade.
imagine how awesome this game would be with animal interactions, upgrade animations/ai and all that stuff. we are stuck years ago when i comes to gaming in general.

I'm not sure the developer is capable of brining this game on another level. Their engine is good for pretty backgrounds and plants but anything that actually moves is a bit weird. Animations and AI behaviors are not their thing. I's more fair when they accept their limitations and just produce the content they did so far. This isnt AAA hunter game. It's an indie type of game that became much more popular than they thought it would be.
