If you're not seeing that you might need to go to settings, interface, and turn in POI icons.
I mean TROPHY LODGE.
Ah, maybe that is the reason. I report this to Dev for the time being but no answer yet.
I hope this bug will fix.
I messaged JaxyBeard over in the Discord Channel when I first discovered the lodge on my map:
Me (on June 11, 2023)
Hi Jaxy. Did you know that the Layton Lakes Trophy Lodge is actually on the reserve map, and that you can walk up to it? You can enter the building, open all the doors, rest, but one's trophies are not available. It's about 650m north of the Mount Leviathan outpost, on the footpath toward Cheelah Lake. There is also a second building just to the north of the main building. The placement is off, it's stuck on a rock outcrop with part of the building suspended in midair LOL

Hey! I did actually. It was accidently left in during design. I fought for it to be permanent and aligned properly but it is sadly being patched out with the upcoming update.
So the OP was having problems with the usual method of entering a trophy lodge (map HUD -> Trophy Lodges -> select Layton Lakes Trophy Lodge #1), coning in from the Layton Lakes reserve.
When that new trophy lodge was introduced in the update back in Dec 2022, the developers left some experimental prototyping artifacts in the Layton Lakes reserve map - The actual Layton Lakes Trophy Lodge and another cabin next to it, just southeast of Cheelah Lake, on the north-south section of the path to the Cheelah Lake Hiking Cabins.
It was accessible from inside the reserve: you could see it in the distance, walk up to it, interact with the doors to step inside, interact with the bedrooms (rest). It was not visible on the map, and you could not fast travel to it. Once inside, bringing up the map HUD showed the normal reserve map. , It would not function as a trophy lodge - there were no player's trophy mounts and no view->investigate->edit functionality. Also, the buildings were placed on the side of the mountain ridge on the east side of the lodge, so the entire west side of the building was just hanging there, unsupported. The other building to the north was stuck in a pile of boulders. Inside the main lodge, the ground floor had trees and vegetation protruding into the space ( like you see sometimes when putting down tents).
I haven't been back to LL since the latest update, so I don't know if it is still there - it was supposed to be removed.
Edit: I just went to the Layton Lakes reserve to check. I had left a tent at that spot to mark it, and sure enough it is gone.
I also tried to access my LL Trophy Lodge from the LL reserve - yep, the game just hangs and I have to stop it manually from the Steam page.
Indeed, if I try map -> Trophy Lodges -> select Layton Lakes Trophy Lodge #1 -> go, the game just hangs and must be stopped manually (from the Steam game launch page).
I started again, went back to LL, and tried selecting a different trophy lodge. That works.
From that lodge I I was able to fast travel to my Layton Lakes Trophy Lodge. Once there, the normal actions one would use in a TL work, and I was able to travel to yet another lodge, and then back to LL.
so LL->Layton Lodge : game hangs
LL->other Lodges : game works
Right? what about
Other reserves->Layton Lodge?
you got this issues too? this issues so uncomfortable.
Enter the game - continue (in my game that puts me on Emerald Coast)
Tried this:
Emerald Coast -> Layton Lodge: ok
Layton Lodge -> MedVed Taiga: ok
MedVed Taiga -> Layton Lodge: ok
Layton Lodge -> Hirschfelden: ok
Hirschfelden -> Layton Lodge: ok
Layton Lodge -> Yukon Valley: ok
Yukon Valley: Layton Lodge: ok
Exit game
enter game -> select reserve -> Layton Lakes -> go
Layton Lakes -> Layton Lodge: works
It could be a particular sequence of previous actions that causes LL -> Layton Lodge to hang, Perhaps the sequence I used above has corrected some internal state error so that the last step works.
I exited to main menu from Layton Lakes, then continued
back in Layton Lakes -> Layton Lodge: works again.
Exited from LL to desktop.
Entered the game, continue, back in LL
go to Layton Lakes lodge: works
That's not to say some other sequence of travel to the other maps and lodges won't recreate the specific state that causes LL -> Layton Lodge to fail again.
