Official Discord for Game Dead?

Can someone explain why theres no general chat, lfg, or vc's in the discord server? I thought it was a way to meet more people but it just seems dead with most of the posts being from several years ago.

My guess is a lack of moderators or overzealous ones. That's the usual death of a Discord.

It is far from dead. You just have to pick your role before you can access the community chats - pick classic or cotw or both. There is lots of chat going on constantly, and there are suggestion and bug report channels. Even a channel for EC only.

Every day. You have to pick a "role" as I explained. Otherwise, you don't have access to all the forum chats.

Under the 'start here', you can pick your role. From there, look at the section 'choose your hunting party...'. Then click on either box at the bottom of that showing the icons for each game (classic or cotw).

Done. Still nothing. They must have a new account limit or something. Hubby just got discord and no matter what he does, no chats.

You must also choose a platform in the COTW Specific section.

First, click on 'choose-your-role'
Second, click on either icon just below the little yellow hand
Third, select your platform in the specifics section below the little yellow hand

I've done that and still don't have access to cotw or steam section of the server.

I can't explain that. Do you have a discord profile? I assume that is also required. For me, it worked instantly. I'm sorry.

Currently, there is 3180 users online with latest message minutes ago so the problem seems to be on your end.

@WolfTR I expect there's some 'control freak' setting on the server that is limiting users for whatever reasons - noobs, certain IPs, areas, etc. Are you new on discord?
