You can actually go there yourself and have a look. You can enter any reserve in multiplayer, you don't have to own the respective DLC. The downside is that you'll get booted out of the map as soon as there's no longer any player present who owns it, but you'll have time to assess whether you like it or not.
Since when is every environment on earth consistent in that regard?
Medved's icy nature is just naturally noisier. Different grass types, like saw grass would be noisier, same with branches and brush. It's immersion into realism.
Lol, don't mistake my sarcasm for aggression my friend. Might look like that but only cuz u can't see the clever smirk on my face.
The shotgun you get from the questline is probably the best in the game.
I like the animals: whitetail, goats, and especially Mule deer.
Pheasant and turkey are pretty fun. Just carry a shotgun with you and blast them out of the air when you see them.
If you're deliberately trying to hunt pheasant, they can be annoying because they don't like to fly. - When the map was first released, they were a little bugged and sometimes wouldn't fly at all.
1 to 10, I'd say Rancho is a 7. Maybe a 6 if you don't like the terrain.
There are maps that are a lot worse. Hirsh, New England, Medved. Pargue can be annoying. Mississippi about even because it has alligators which bumps it up to a 6-7 in my mind.
Also on the plus side, it is the only way to get the 16g trench gun, which is fabulous for hunting birds.
If you are not sure, just give it a try in multiplayer.
That's a little dismissive. People who don't like challenge should probably look for a different game altogether.
Personally, I have completed all RDA missions and have a diamond rabbit from the dry bushy area in the west, but I still don't appreciate the noisy ground cover.
Just to clarify, that if some people don't like a map it doesn't necessarily equal a dislike for challenge.
Objection your honor. It is Mexico. Not US.
E Viva La Revolution!
Mostly because it has an interesting DEM (digital elevation model) as a base. The ravines and ridges are very true to life and the overall layout is very "believable". From open "hot" desert environment via bush/shrub to the shadows of the forested areas. It stands out somehow.
I'm not sure I suffer from the extraordinary sound-level that Lotte describes above, but it might be so. I've noticed some maps do draw my attention to this, like Silver Ridge for instance. However, it seems some of that has been fixed lately, especially when it comes to the sound of the dogs footsteps. Or my brain is just filtering that out now...
Anyhow, RDA is well worth it in my book.
