.223 Worst bullet
I play a little and already in this game and I can't get over how hopeless this .223 bullet is. The bullet class is 2-4, which is very cool because for me it fills the gap and there are few bullets of this class. But this bullet is too weak for its class. The wild boar is not going to kill him, often a clean shot in the heart will not come. Worse, it's the same with Roe Deer. Where the roe deer is a more delicate animal than the wild boar. It's not over, it's worse. The lynx and the Asian raccoon dog also have a problem, often the bullet stops on the bone. Where a raccoon dog is a small animal and such a bullet should pierce it through, especially since it's a class 2 animal. If we don't hit the heart, we have a high chance that these small animals will slowly bled out, despite being hit in the lungs. Which only confirms to me that there is the worst rifle bullet.

Do you agree with me? Or do you have a different opinion?

Maybe a small update of the bullet from the creators would be useful?

Wich bullets did you use?
But yeah, agree that the .223 is underpowered. DD33 did a video on that and was recently saying, he's in talks with the Devs about it. I hope we can expect a buff in a bit.

Did you try the bolt action .223?
I feel it's a bit more powerful than the Zarza. Maybe in consideration of the longer barrel = more muzzle velocity, I don't know. Maybe it's just placebo 😅

Will test it next time and see :) But I assume these bullets here have more to do with it

At the range these 223s are definitely not what they used to be.

They're supposed to be deadly accurate up to 150 yards, and still have the hitting power to be fatal. But recently they just aren't doing the job.

It's good for varmits and small to medium, thin-skinned game irl so definitely some of the animal listed should drop if hit in the core. Even if not a direct vital.

In the end a 50gr .22 can only do so much.

Yeah right. See, I shot quite a few 5.56 during my active serving time and the civil round, if I remember correctly, is somewhat about 3000psi lower on pressure and just a tiny bit lighter. It definitely should be devastating to, let's say, a fox, racoon or something similar no matter where you hit the poor thing, should roll over and lay dead.
But in the game it often feels you're shooting pellets at those critters.

Oh there's high performance stuff with Barnes TTSX, Nosler Partition, Swift A-Frame that are devasting enough to take big deer ethically without a second thought. For anything bigger/thicker than a coyote or cougar, I probably wouldn't use generic .223 rounds.

I tested the .223 Docent and I don't see any major improvement with the .223 bullet. I still think that this projectile is too weak :) and it could use an update

.243 is much better for 2-3. For 4-6 get .270 or one of the weapon packs.

It's just that this bullet doesn't do well against class 2-3 pets. They are relatively "Soft" animals and the bullet penetrates them poorly

.270 is a different type of ammo

irl, a .22lr will down any fox no problem. the .223 will love tap the heart of a whitetail (shot placement is key). this game has them both significantly under performing. i would never shoot a raccoon/fox with a .223 lol talk about wasted energy. i just put down a rabid raccoon last month with a .177 hand pump bb gun. double bagged it. called the county to come pick it up. was indeed rabid.

+1
Weapons are just very unrealistic in this game and I doubt this will change since the devs don´t care about it at all.

Yeah that bullet is seriously wrong. I understand that some of the toughts behind the unrealistic ballistics is to compensate for gameplay and make shots more challenging, or bow shots more forgiving, but the entire community agrees that the .223 is awful.
I feel bad for the coyotes that I mangled by having the bullet stuck in their shoulder but not reachign vitals.

get penetration bullets and try to aim within 150m, should works
