Did the "moose" have long pointed horns?
That moose is out to get you. It will not stop pursuing you until you shoot it. Watch your back until you do. ;)
There's nothing to fix!
Moose can be extremely aggressive IRL. And this is a simulation of that reality.
It was definitely trying to start something.
Edit - some more context: As I was traversing the forest en route to my intended destination, I stumbled upon a moose that was taking a break. Like the previous commenter, I noticed that the moose did not immediately flee, but instead yelled at me something fierce and moved about in a manner that seemed highly suspicious. We eventually circled eachother and went our seperate way.
This was the 3rd time in LL where I had to get into a firefight with a moose.
They do make a specific aggressive noise which is very different from a mating or warning call, and if you have the wherewithal (and the time) to spot one in your binos or scope, it will show as Aggressive.
Love it.
Yes I received damage. Tho' it was slight.
But other times the moose comes at the tripod and bellows.
Even tho' it's a vital hit. :dunno:
Just when I thought I had a chance at it this cow comes marching out at me. I should have just turned and fled in opposite direction, but I shot her instead. And of course spooked the bull.
I followed it again but had to give up on it when real life intervened, lol. It was so elusive and tricky that it just had to be a diamond.
Those danged moose don't give up on you easily either, once they aggro on you. You can't slip away quietly in crouch mode because they will outpace you. I'm starting to think that when I'm moose hunting carrying a bow will be essential.
