But can as well be a bug, don't know. Haven't used it for quite a while.
Layton's? You mean Hirschfelden?
Sorry! ;b
The distance matters.
But each rifle has its own accuracy rating, which if I recall correctly, is programmed in such a way that every certain number of shots fired will not hit where you aim, regardless of your skill and precision. This is how accuracy is made a variable associated with different weapons.
I just don’t think the accuracy stat on the gun would affect my shots to this extent.
I’ve never had this issue with any other caliber.
I like to use the shooting range to test out the various weapons at different ranges. I go through all the ranges in 50 meter increments (up to 300m lets say) and take notes as to how the projectile behaves. There's quite a bit of variance in how the rifles handle. Unfortunately I don't happen to have any notes for the 7mm or I'd share them here.
But also, yeah, clipping happens. Super frustrating.

The standard (medium) zero is for 150m for most guns and on it its actually zeroed at 250m.
The 300m (long range) zero is correct.
Take it to the shooting range and test it yourself. There's a reason people think its a extra good long range gun and I think the wrong zeroing is most of that reason... same for why people think the bolt action 7mm isn't as good... because the zeroing is correct on it...
I took every gun to the target range and tested both medium and long range zeroing at every distance between 50m and 500m and made a spreadsheet with how much they drop at each range.
My main loadout now is the .17 hornet, 22-250, and 7mm bolt action.
