Hahaha... I got 6 fps with everything maxed, so you have me beat
One of those graphics options shouldn't be turned all the way up unless your PC is in the top 1%. The TSR or whatever it's called. Works fine on medium. It has nothing to do with the actual graphics though. If turned off it makes images blurry as you turn around quickly. The virtual shadows option also seems to have no affect on image quality.
I think the biggest problem with the demo is that Ray Tracing is baked in and can't be turned off. Otherwise I bet we'd be hitting 50+ frames. My poor little 6600 cried for help, but alas, no one was listening hahaha...
What did you think of the blizzard biome? Was that not insane?
However, I have issues with Unreal Engine when used for large open worlds. The way it loads scenery when moving about causes stutters (no matter what hardware specs). Examples are Train Sim World, WoTH and Fernbus Simulator. It suits many game concepts where the loading can be hidden in some "transition" zones or cut-scenes. Hopefully UE5 will handle this better or make it easier for devs to understand and program to come around this problem.
Compared to UE4, the Apex engine delivers a better experience, at least on my PC.

Medium + No Shadow = 60fps (stable) (Snow Biome: 50-60)
Medium + Shadow = 16fps
High + No Shadow = 40fps
High + Shadow = 14fps
Very High + No Shadows = 30-35fps (capped by engine)
Very High + Shadows = 10fps
Ultra + No Shadows = 10fps
Ultra + Shadows = 8fps
Extra: Pressing C changes to third person mode.
Glad you tried it. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it runs on various GPUs given the graphic fidelity.
Here's another demo if you're interested. I haven't tried it yet. Seems like a demo for what Crysis 4 could look like.

*UPDATE* I just tried it. Everything maxed out 4k = 2 fps hahahaha.... Fortunately the graphics in this demo are fully customizable.
Guys, any news on mirrors for MW demos? Anything? MW increased the prices for their runtime demos from $1.99 to $3.99. Which is like - sure why not, make them $29.99 already, because who cares right.
Tbh I think this is just disgusting. People want to try the runtime demos to assess their perf before buying the full products at Epic Store. And then boom, they have to pay for those demos as well. What a load of carp.
