Are lodges worth it?
I was wondering. With 2.2 Millions in bank and 1.5K hrs game since June is it worth to get a lodge when not playing MP? I did read you cannot even get out of them? Where are they placed if not on a reserve you own? You just sit there and look at your trophies, and pay a fee when you sleep in them? Really? Pls light me :steamfacepalm:

It's something to place your most noteworthy kills in, it can be nice to see if you play a lot of this game. If you really need to ask why you would want it though then maybe it's not for you

So if I ask questions about a car before buying it, as we all do, the only fact I ask them makes this car "maybe not for you"? I was expecting a bit more elaborate reply from those who have a lodge. Not a generic reply with no added value. I play every day btw.

Just a place to accumulate all your special kills in game instead of just the screenshots. Its kind of like its own map, but ofc you can't hunt or really leave the building. There's not to much to say about it.

*There is a glitch on the saseka safari lodge where you can actually jump off the rail that goes around the outside of the lodge into the bushes, run for a couple hundred meters, and lets just say, see that the flat-earthers were actually right all along :steamhappy:

It's the garage you would park the cars you bought in. Do you want us to explain the concept of a garage?

Some like to grind this game to hell, some just play it casually like me. Still got my "first kill" trophies, rares of course, that one diamond. Nice to have a "memorial" for milestones but not needed. But yes, it's just that. Some kind of garage for killed animals

I'm pretty sure the OP has the concept of what the lodges are for. I see now why he's getting frustrated.

He asked if they were worth the money. Is there anything cool about them other than simply being a square building where a moose head magically appears on the wall next to a label. Is it big? Can you explore it? Does it have a free bed to sleep in? Does it have a storage locker? A garage for your ATV? Where does the lodge appear after it's purchased? Is it something that appears in all the maps, and you can enter/exit freely or is it something you can only access through the start menu?

Geeze people ...

Well, judging by how you've criticizing it beforehand, I would say it won't be worth it to you. It doesn't involve any other dynamic except being able to revisit your trophies in a setting you transform as you see fit. There's nothing else there. It doesn't show on any map, and there isn't any play area outside the building. You only access it via the main menu.

I'm not sure what you mean by sleeping in one. You can't.

However, I really enjoy mine. The original one is like a mansion hideaway with some luxurious rooms to decorate as you choose. You can have various themed going on. The Sisika lodge is more of a safari type setting and also has some great options, although some of the taxied heads on the wall can be a little reduced in stature compared to the other lodge.

In one of my lodges I have a standing, roaring grizzly standing guard on each side of the entrance to the stairway. In another I have gigantic moose guarding that ascension.

If you want to be able to really appreciate your trophy kills, after the harvest screen, than a lodge is an absolute necessity.

Being able to see those trophies again is precisely why we asked for them.

False equivelance argument. I'm just saying based on what you said and that you still have to ask it's maybe not for you, because yes it's to put your trophies in and watch them but you didn't seem to like that.

My comment wasn't generic, it answered you what it was for and you're not satisfied. Get it or don't, I don't care, it's something for you or if you have friends that also play this game to look at.

Findus Dec 9, 2022 @ 5:23pm
All I can say is that I play single player exclusively and I thought I didn't care that much for trophies or looking at them in the lodge. Turns out I do.
Gelfan_Dothea Dec 9, 2022 @ 8:16pm
Just loaded lodges for the first time. No, they are not worth it. If they were placed in the active world maybe, but they're nothing but shells for displaying trophy's. Accessed from a menu. And no, you can't leave them.

At $4.00 or less depending on sales, I'd say it's worth the money. I don't spend much time with it, but like Findus, I like being able to see trophies from the past more than I thought I would. The multimounts are a pretty nice feature too. If there was a better way to sort through your saved trophies, I would probably spend a little more time with it.

The lodge is not on any map. It's a separate entity. When you go in the menu and select a lodge to go to, you are no longer on your map, and you'll have to select a reserve, and start at the nearest outpost when you resume hunting. If I go to a lodge, it's usually the last thing I do before turning the game off.

Maybe in a future game each map would have a main lodge on it where you could come and go like an outpost, try out weapons at the range out back, and decorate you're lodge with your best harvests from that map. Not happening on this game, but still worth four bucks in my opinion.
