nightvision binocs not working?

i bought them, i'm using them late at night. i look into them, try zooming.. theres no green, no sight that is better then my flash light. just normal vision though them?... is ther a button to activate it or something?

There is no button to activate them. It sounds like you don't have them equipped. You may have them with you assuming you moved them from storage into your backpack while at a storage locker, but you also have to go into your inventory and put them in one of the ten item slots. You can only use items that you have with you if they are in one of those slots.

yea i have them equiped, just when i bring them to my eyes i see the range finder part, but no "night vision" it's just look like normal view aka dark af

There's the night vision modern tech version, and the night vision binocs, which are not as good.

Just to make sure. There are no night vision binoculars in the base game. There are the starting binoculars, a rangefinder, and later you can purchase binoculars with a rangefinder built in. That sounds like the one you're using.

You have to purchase the high tech hunting pack DLC to go night vision equipment. If that's what you did, and you have those night vision binoculars equipped, everything should look green when you look through them. Maybe a bug otherwise.

Geronimo mentioned two different night vision binoculars, but I'm only aware of the one that comes with the DLC. I don't know what regular night vision binos he's referring to.

i own all the pretty much all the dlc. i know the binoc i'm referring to are from the tech dlc. i've see youtube vid on them, working with a green lighted view. when i use the night vision binocs from the dlc, they provide me the same view as normal binocs. i've triple check to make sure i have the dlc binoc equipped. i've verified my files thrice over as well.

maybe post a screenshot of it happening, either way they kinda suck in terms of actually seeing at night.

The night vision binoculars are good for spotting tracks at long range. For spotting, the standard binoculars work just fine. Better than the "night vision" binoculars if you ask me.

Are you sure you're equipping the night vision ones and not the regular ones? they both look similar, try checking your equipment wheel.

i bought teh new map, installed and verified my files again and loaded it up. it seem to be working now.. so either it was a driver issue, or steam didn't deliver a file or something. don't know, just happy it works.. should that ever change ill necro this .. good hunting all and good luck!
