Cuatro - Divine Reckoning task - Kill Wolf - Broken

OK, I've tracked the wolf to the monastery. I entered through the tunnel. I can hear the wolf. When I get to where I'm suppose to kill it. No wolf. Lots of growling and tracks.

Seems like it escaped to somewhere?

I've tried 3 times finishing this quest. No luck.

Any advice/suggestions?

Try exiting the way you came. I had to to that and track the wolf down. It might flee quite a distance, so be prepared to run and take a long shot.

That's weird. I've 1500 hours playing theHunter and did this quest at least 4 or 5 times before. The wolf was always in the courtyard inside.

When I did that mission (last year, I think) the wolf wasn't inside the courtyard for me either but outside the building growling at me through one of those iron gates. It may actually have been glitching/clipping into said gate. So basically I shot it while it was just outside the gate (outside the courtyard and building itself) while I was standing inside the courtyard myself. So, the iron gate was between me and the angry wolf, but I was able to shoot it through the gate. I believe I recorded the event and still have the clip.
So, yes, I believe you. Listen where the growling is coming from and then try to spot it through those iron gates or go back outside to try and find it. Good luck.

I was able to kill it about a klick or 2 away.

I got killed in that quest. Haha. I couldnt find my way inside the monestary. Then all of a sudden the wolf was running away so I chased it down. Then without warning it turned on me and killed me. Haha. Weird quest.

I was on Cuatro yesterday. I saw a bunch of wolves running away and was able to kill one. As I walked over to claim the kill a bunch of wild boars attacked me. Nearly died due to confusion.

Ah, those piggies, yeah.
Have you played the Mexican map yet? One of my friends dubbed the Collared Peccaries "Murder Piggies". Small killing machines that will attack and knock you out in no time.

I got to the court as well, and the wolf glitched through the gate, and bolted off immediately. I had to chase that stupid thing almost a mile before I could get close enough for a shot.
