What good is Apex Connect?
I very, very rarely play CoTW multiplayer and am wondering, what good is Apex Connect then? I know, I can use the ghillie(?) suit (that does no other difference than cosmetic), but are there any real in-game (singleplayer) advantages related to AC?

I am aware that there an AC specific thread, but it seems to focused on technical issues. I have a made a full forum search without any luck, but I may have missed something. If so don't torch me, but direct me.

nope.

A lot of people will argue about it and claim it is just another way for a tech company to obtain information from people. But, this pattern happens quite often with game devs and/or publishers as they start gaining ground in the market. They envision this system that brings people together from all of their games with the hopes of increased sales for their future games. It usually comes in the form of some online site initially, like this, and then eventually progresses into a useless game launcher application.
The third phase of this, usually, is that they realize that what they have created only complicates things with other services such as Steam or Epic where a significant portion of sales originate and the whole thing is scrapped (for example, the Bethesda launcher). Sometimes they are stubborn though and refuse to scrap (for example Rockstar).

Thx for the answer - though depressing. I started using AC knowing that I seldomly CoTW-game online, but as I recall it, they said that more AC-specific stuff was coming to CoTW. I thought(/hoped), I'd missed something.

I guess, you are right about the intentions behind the AC-'offer'. And even more depressing that EW doesn't seem to bother though it wasn't possible without their accept.
