I use the 22 LR and it is for me the best, although often you have to shoot 10 balls to reach 4 or 5 ducks (with luck).
I bought the DLC to support the Devs, but the contents of this DLC is worthless, it is useless. Moreover duck hunting does not pay.
If you want to climb XP and money will hunt deer and moose.

Not the first 12G but the second one (Italian sounding name) works great for Ducks, I'd say better than the DLC one because you get more rounds.
But the DLC shotguns are free in the store so you could use that trick they showed in the stream. Equip all 3 shotguns and switch after one is empty.
Don't know the exact number on the range of them but from my own experience the gap (if any at all) isn't big enough to worry about it.

If you look at the specs it seems sort of a redesign and reskin of the other 20Gauge.
I guess if you can use the Cacciatore, you can forget about the others.

i agree with WhiteWolf and naspa, the Cacciatore 6 round 12ga seems to be the best, no shortage of rounds and with birdshot you get 100% integrity. but the new 20ga are nice too but with a flock of ducks, you run out of rounds fast with those.

I also use the Cacchiatore(?) first and then switch to the new gun. I kind of have a feeling that the new shotgun really has a little better range, but it also might be personal preference. I did carry all 3 versions of the new one but usually after 1 weapon switch and 9 shots in total the birds are out of range for me.

BTW anyone know if there is a difference between regular 20ga Birdshot and 20ga steel birdshot?

yeah i feel like there is a small range difference too. just hunted a lot of ducks. and the italian one is indeed still better IMO.

i don't know if there is a difference between the steel and led ammo. afraid there isn't.

For me, the new shotgun has a better range and shoots faster but it only has 3 cartridges.

If you have them - carry the 6 shot - 3 shot - 22LR. Use the .22 when they're out of shotgun range but remember where they drop if they don't land on water.

I just use the gaciatore and just travel between different spots

I use the DLC double barrel from the geese update with birdshot and it works great, 100 percent integrity

.22 for the win against ducks.

No one believes me but if you want to climb XP and especially money - it's European Bison. They are worth as much as a fox/coyote, are slow and stupid, can be taken out with a 420g arrow, and are in huge herds. You can literally drive your 4wheeler right up to them.
