Rabbit Hunting Tips
I see alot of people haven a problem hunting these guys and while it might be a strugle for some I have found a few sure ways to hunt them, compleating the weekly in less then 10 hours of hunting them.

1. Multiplayer - this gives you the chance to join somelses map and re-hunt places you have had luck, esp once you know the spawn spots and times, they will most likely be wide open and free from pressure. plus the maps clear presure off the map much quicker then solo play. Hitting the rest option can help you better position yourself to catch the best spawning chances aswell with understanding what way they will go after as they will move about the map in the same ways the other animals do.

2. noise, these little guys seem to be just about blind and dont seem to be able to see you in crouch or prawning, I have had them walk right up to me face to face, they WILL hear you running and walking, they have a chance of giveing a thump warning that helps find them.

3. thump warnings, this is how you find them when you dont have a wide open veiw, a blind run will trigger a thump but I have found the best way for me to get a thump warning is to just shoot a 22 shot into the air and it will trigger a thump warning if they are within 300 yards.. most times. so once the thump has happened and you got an idea where to go, get your knocks out, find one and get ready to tap your E to paint them if you have the skill to do so, the 22 will shoot through brush and branches, but not trees or rocks or small hills.

4. hunting packs, now I have found it easy to kill off a pack of these guys as they dont run very far after you kill one of them, the pack will scater abit but mostly move in the same direction, and most times will return near to the same place after a short wait, but not allways, so your best off walking them down one by one.

I am sure your exp will very and I hope others can add what has worked for them, hope the misspellings and bad grammer is overlooked.

Happy Hunting!

And when you knock them off one-by-one, give them some time to go back to "calm" before you take the next, otherwise you risk running them off for good.

There is no rabbit-caller. Find a patch where they hide out and shoot the whole pack with the .22.

Nice tips!

By the way (and off-topic), do the coyote feeding areas with dead rabbits still exist? I haven't seen any lately.

iIf you have the 'Who's deer?' skill the rabbits will come to the sound fo the grunt tube. Not that it's too much help to a newbie because you need to be like level 30 to buy the grunt.

Does the "Who's deer?" skill work with any callers on Musk deer in the Taiga map?

Yes. The musk deer will respond to the elk caller if you have the "Who's deer".
