The new .308 is a crappy, inaccurate Mosin
Anyone else feel the .308 is a fast firing, in-accurate Mosin? I hope the Finland reserve will introduce a finnish polymer tip round for the Mosin Nagant.

I have been spending 20 hours in SRP comparing the .308 and the Mosin and the .308 is only slightly better as far as penetration. Mosin rounds are cheaper and more accurate.

At range trying 308 at 150m/200/250 each 10 shot group touching wasn't until 300 when the group opened up for me. Mosins only advantage is being able to take on class 3's too 7 well enough, but if you need that extra punch for longer ranged then 308/303/30-06 and take on class 8's the bigger calibre is required

So far, I've never had a .308 round not go exactly where I aimed it. Also, lung shots on class 5-7 with the Solokhin end up with me following blood trails much more often and for greater distances than with the Zarza-10.
Though I'd prefer a bolt-action or lever-action .308, the Zarza works well for me. On Te Awaroa, I carry the .308 for pigs, sika, and red deer along with the 7.62 for chamois and goats. It's a good combo.
I would love to see a polymer-tip 7.62 as well, but I don't remember it being on the list of features for the new map/update. They're including a new .22 ammo type, and I think that's the only one they've mentioned.

Been using the .308 a bit more. It's actually really nice. I don't want to like it, because of its looks, but its insane for follow up shots.

More often than not it's the person shooting the round where the inaccuracy lies, not the round being shot. Never had a single issue with the .308 or any other calibre to be honest. Maybe the ,22 when trying to hit a duck more than 300m away but that's because I'm guesstimating the ranging on the scope...
