Plus cotw is pretty much dead in terms of new content. After all these years and they can't even get things like ducks to work properly. Unlikely they'll add anything decent any time soon.
That may change before long.

Anyway, I welcome any new hunting games. Competition drives innovation and I could always use another hunting game.
In the long run it could benefit for us who play hunting games. If more companies are making hunting games and there is a market for those sort of games, than the developers need to make the game the best quality to stand out from the other games,so people will buy their product.
Meh sure, ducks were just an example of the many things not working properly. It's a DLC so they need to prioritize a fix for them. Maybe they'll fix them. 1 problem solved, 99 to go. No thanks. It's better if we just move on.
When EW realizes that customers come before money maybe then we can hope that the game really improves. Until then, anything that comes from them is hot air. Competition is good but it wouldn't really change much if they continue to release DLC after DLC. How are they going to step up their game?
Anyway, it is what it is. At this point we are all waiting for the next 'World' that will 'Expand' the game, aka the next DLC reserve. Bring it on!
That's a great question but also one that I can not answer, sorry.
Yes it will be available for PC. It will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X en S, Steam, Epic Games Store en GOG, so take your pick.
Its on steam : https://store.steampowered.com/app/1288320/Way_of_the_Hunter/
It would be perfect if they put in gel targets to see different penetration and expansion of the bullets !
Wind , weather effects would be nice too
Certainly a game worth following its development. But, and it is a big BUT, is the connection with THQ, a studio which can produce a lovely looking game but with clunky, almost dysfunctional mechanics which wreck immersion.
The actual devs seem to have a decent pedigree in the hunting/open world genres which makes me hope for a working game which is more important, imho, than eye candy graphics.
real life hunting, though dynamic, can also be very tedious and slow and quite frankly boring. It will be interesting to see how intelligent animal behavior will be and how they balance getting to enjoy playing a hunting game vs making it seem like real life hunting.
A formula, which I believe has made CotW as successful as it has been.
Say what you will about CotW, it has been buggy at times and some things have been fixed while other things still need some work. *Every* hunting game will be measured against CotW. CotW as it stands for the last 4-5 years has been the gold standard to beat, and so far, nobody has been able to, in hunting game genre.
Btw, some of the animals in the video look like they pump iron and use steroids? Is it just me? Especially the white goat looking thing. If I ever run into that guy, ill run...
